This place could be a lot better than it is.The rondavel was fine, if a little rundown and old-fashioned. There was a fridge in the room which was good. The bath/shower were clean but a bit tatty and everything just looked past its best. The breakfast was OK, but was already sitting on the hotplate so the eggs were overdone,...

Firstly, the good. I emailed the owner to book a bed in a backpacker room. When I arrived 4 days later, I was upgraded to a nice ensuite twin room as the backpacker rooms were full, at the same price. The place is quiet and set in lovely gardens. However, a new manager was just starting and things were very...

I love spending time at the Roma Trading Post. The staff are super friendly, and the rooms are spacious and cosy. I love the comfortable beds with matching linens, and the coffee and tea maker in each room.

We arrived in Roma after a long day of driving and were happy to see the accommodation, it looked nice from the outside. We booked a dormitory, which turned out to be a double room with shared facilities (yay). The original price was 175 a person, but this was changed to 200 a person due to recent changes - which...

There are various types of accommodation available. It reminds me of old school farm life. Clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Great place for families - even small children will feel welcome.

We stayed here for several nights a few years ago. It was good then but it continues to improve. We were given a very warm welcome and the staff were very helpful and did everything with a genuine smile. However, it is still not the easiest place to park or more precisely reverse out of. . Our rondo was large...

We have wanted to visit Lesotho for a long time as I am a handweaver and I wanted to see the tapestry weaving. My husband loves hiking and walking. We had never visited Lesotho before and after some research decided that Maseru did not sound so appealing to us but the Trading Post Lodge at Roma did. We made a...

We visited the place in June after a couple nights of camping and offroading in Lesotho to warm up. The fireplace felt like heaven. The area is beautiful and they had Wifi which was nice after camping in Lesotho for a couple days. Warm showers were nice too. The kitchen left something to be desired.

Excellent place to stay with friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food, beautiful scenery, and safe accommodation which is also traditional to the area. I have been coming here for many years and would not stay anywhere else! This time new wifi set up in the reception area was a welcome edition to the excellent service.

We were visiting a friend in Maseru and he took us here for a weekend getaway. Hard to describe just what a peaceful and lush place this is. I'll never forget the stunning afro-alpine views and our fun-if-slightly-risky horse-back ride. On top of everything, the lodge is run by the loveliest of hosts. Highly recommended!
