Almas and her staff give all guests the warmest of welcomes to their lovely cosy guest house. The place is spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Delicious breakfast and tea and coffee available all day with plenty of homemade cake to go with it. Showers are the best I've experienced in Addis in 10 visits constant hot water and great pressure....

I stayed at Arequ for 8 days in april 2015. It is my impression that this small guesthouse is very well run. The staff is kind and helpful (that includes the cleaner who helped us prepare the coffee pots we bought as souvenirs). Having breakfast (good and fresh) at the communal table is a good opportunity to meet other travellers....

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Arequ Guest House. The management was very kind and helpful in every way. They were very interested in our comfort and went to great lengths to make sure that we enjoyed our time in Ethiopia and were able to find our way around. The rooms were charming and very clean, as was the general...

I stayed at Arequ for 20 days in January and February 2015. The guesthouse is a great find, affordable, very clean, the rooms very spacious, the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. But more importantly, the hosts are warm, friendly and welcoming. The construction and traffic in Addis made the city very difficult and the hosts were most helpful in...

As my layover in Addis was only 19 hours, my requirements were simple: I wanted a quaint, charming little guesthouse near the airport. It was important to me that the place had character and a family sort of feel to it. Although I was only going to be there for one night, I wanted it to be special... Well, the...

I discovered the Arequ Guest House through Tripadvisor and it was a great find. It is reasonably priced, close to the airport, well located and expertly run. The hospitality of the place is commendable, most staff are able to communicate in English and breakfast good. I stayed for 4 nights at Arequ in the last week of January 2015, most...

I stayed at Arequ for three days in January 2015. The hosts are very warm, friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse is very conveniently located, quiet, clean, and all the facilities work well (unusual for guesthouses in the city). A nice breakfast comes with the room at a reasonable price, and you can order lunch and dinner if you don't want...

Designed by an award winning architect, from the outside the building is an unusual design, the exterior does not prepare you for what awaits you internally. The spacious, tastefully decorated reception is only a taste of what is to come. The rooms are spacious, the furniture tasteful and functional, comfortable, spacious beds with a well designed en-suite. We stayed on...

We stayed at Arequ for 3 weeks with our young baby. We've stayed at many guesthouses and hotels in Addis. Most are gaudy, with lots of cheap Chinese furniture, and poorly-finished (loose fixtures, bad plumbing, sockets falling out, etc). Not Arequ. It was spacious, well-appointed and tastefully decorated. In fact, the whole guesthouse is gorgeous. We had the first room,...

Very warm and friendly. Convenient to the airport, with free pick-up. It's not so convenient to some of the main attractions in Addis, but no hotel is for most of them. The city is very spread out, and you'll have to get around by taxi from whatever hotel you choose. Arequ is quiet, clean, and all the facilities work (shower,...
