Had a brief stay at this hotel which is not far from the City Centre and actually within walking distance of two large mosques. I was a bit confused because a plaque in the lobby said that the hotel was inaugurated in 2010, then it...More
Located very centrally, the hotel may not look very impressive from the outside but it is everything that a traveller needs. Clean rooms, clean sheets, decent service and above all else, great location. It was total value for money.
Ferried from the airport in a pick up truck, the hotel is a high rise building in the middle of a slum, with noisy construction going on all night long, dogs barking in the neighborhood depriving guests of sleep, Was not worth the USD 120...More

There are a couple of nice markets close to the hotel, the first one is, Mecanto it is the biggest market in Africa and it is situated in Kenya Street it is a couple of blocks away, best would be to take a taxi. Just keep a close eye on your wallet in the market. You can bargain hard there. The second one is Walk the Talk in Roosevelt Street opposite the Adamp Pavilion.
The art market is called the Local Market in African Street it is close to the Weygoss Guesthouse and Ethio Super Market.
None of the markets above it right next to the hotel, but not far away. The Locals shop at a market called Shiromeda Market, it is at the foot of the Entoto Mountain.
All the best and hope you get great bargains and what you are looking for.
