Hotel Soramba is well located near Piazza and close to the office I was visiting, but is just OK, no great rooms, no great food. However I will say service was good, people are kind and willing to help. Rooms are basic have nice balcony so you can see all city, and even when is located in a busy street... More

The food was good, the service was good, the location was great, but all that paled to the fact that the sliding balcony door didn't lock. There was a long, sturdy rope-like pipe hanging from the roof, right in front of my balcony and down to the ground, and I immediately imagined someone climbing up in the middle of the... More

I have stayed in this hotel in two occasions, but will not go back again. The rooms are large and nice, but the staff, especially the reception and food quality are very bad. The first time I arrived at the airport, there was no shuttle waiting for me although I called the hotel the day before as well as an... More

The room was ok, but the bed too hard. Strength: location, price, wifi in the lounge and restaurant. Weaknesses: the breakfast (!!!) is a joke as the rest of the food served. Slow service. Extra charge if you pay with Visa.

Close to western standards. Clean rooms, but maintenance not perfect. Wifi in public areas. No aircon, but not really necessary at this altitude. Good location. Slightly pricey for a locally-owned hotel, but probably worth the bit extra. Breakfast good enough on a good day, but not always. Trying hard to provide good service, but ultimately "this is Africa".

Spent countless hours trying to find a solid 3-star/low 4-star hotel in Addis. Tough! There are the couple name brand hotels for hundreds of US and oodles of low priced, uncertain places popping up in search results. I gave this place a try. It is new - a year or two old. But it seems a bit dated. Staff, as... More

This hotel is a joke! No one came to get us at the airport, which set the mood for the rest of the nightmare. We arrived and the " suite" is a joke. The phone did not work, Internet did not work, the shower had lukewarm water. The refridgerator and hair dryer did not work. There is no gym! Adding... More

The hotel isn't in the best location for accessing Addis and the room wasn't particularly clean. It didn't feel like a safe part of town to wander about in. When I visited none of the gym/spa facilities were in operation. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant served good quality Ethiopian cuisine.

Stayed here one night and left quite early, before breakfast. The facilities themselves are fine. The room was large and I liked the balcony. There's a good selection of English channels on the television. Wireless internet works in the lobby, and there's a couple of internet terminals free for use. As mentioned before, it seems inexplicable that the rooms feature... More
