The reception area was smart but the room less so. For a start the room was located under a spreading tree hosting huge numbers of sparrows. The small sitting out area with two chairs and a table was covered in bird droppings so was unusable being both unsightly and unhygienic. The swimming pool was out of repair so not available. The shower fitting was broken and leaked. We reported this and there was some improvement but one of the fittings still did not work. The wash basin plug would not close so it was not possible to fill the basin. The water was not very hot at most times and not hot at all in the morning.

Stay somewhere else! The hotel is expensive for what it offers: dated rooms, limited staff, mediocre food and limited restaurant offers. My room while it had a nice view of the ocean for which I paid top price, had very old and dated furniture and amenities. I ate one night at the hotel and the food was so bad I ended up walking to the restaurants by the beach to have decent meals. This hotel should be much better that what it is. I stayed at other two properties in Praia and while they are not great, they offer value for money. The day I checked out they couldn’t print the receipt. They had to send to me a couple of days later by email… very unprofessional. The staff at the reception needs better training, they are quite unhelpful and unpleasant. Will never stay here again.

The breakfast was good, had a lot of variety. The room was clean, but I feel I payed more than was supposed trough booking. The view was nice to, they offered cab services from the airport and had a little pretty decent gym. The staff was friendly and helped you with every question

Everyday I complained about mosquitoes and a grasshopper in my room and every day nothing was done. My face had bumps from mosquito bites. Had a fever while there. Worst thing is there was no HOT water to shower with!! They did nothing of course. The technician came and said I should be able to manage, no way to increase the hot... poor me with body aches from travel and a fever, being forced to shower with cold water. HELL. I'm not the only one who complained as well. I wonder if they were trying to skim on costs... no hot water, no AC in the lobby and common areas. I hate it here. They don't give you any complimentary water in the room. Why?

Hotel staff is very friendly and took an interest in us whilst we were celebrating our anniversary. They were helpful and spoke good english. The facilities are great and the view exquisite. Honorable mention to Zendaia 😉. I would definitely recommend going here when visiting Praia.

This is the best hotel in Praia. We stayed here for our last night in Santiago and to celebrate our 5th anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. Before we arrived we got an upgrade to a superior room with a seaview and when we entered our room it was a beautiful room, the best one we’ve had so far. The staff speaks English well and are very friendly and nice, with a special shout-out to Zendaia! We got a late checkout because our flight was going late at night and could use the very nice pool all day. Overall a great place to stay when you’re in Cape Verde!!

A true example of excellent hospitality! Without doubt one of the favorite hotels we stayed during our time in Cape Verde. Perfectly located, gorgeous room with fabulous view but the best was the staff. The Oasis Atlantico Praiamar is gorgeous. The hotel decor is by far the nicest we’ve seen in Praia. Playful and stylish, tasteful yet trendy. It features cool blues, grey, mustard and whites, with metal trim. A beautiful console by front lobby, subdued lighting and vast space. Our first impressions? Amazing. Gorgeous. Hard to find, especially in Praia. These 3 words describe the looks and the attitude of the hotel. However, the final test of any hotel is how the front desk staff deal with odd problems........... We’d planned on staying for just two nights but we ended up staying for over 2weeks. We particularly want to thank Bruna, the assistant general manager.. Bruna, God bless your kind soul. What a gracious and knowledgeable hostess she was. The room service rendered to us was beyond expectations. The housekeeping staff and every other staff were efficient, helpful, attentive and would go above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. We have been to larger or newer hotels around the globe..but this one is on historic registry as we do not recall a better or more accommodating staff. Bruna, our sincere thanks for helping us feel so special and at home all through our stay. We look forward to returning. All respect and gratitude to the general manager, Muxima who went out of her way to drive us to the hospital in her car for our Covid test and also gave us a little tour round the city. This was the highlight of our trip to Cape Verde..and we wouldn’t have made the best of it, if it weren’t for the Hotel Oasis Hotel Praiamar, a true example of excellent hospitality! Collins..

We travelled to Cape Verde during the COVID pandemic, this hotel was an excellent choice to spend the first part of our vacation. Very close to the beach and a 20 min walk to Plateau. Hotel was very clean and everybody made sure of respecting the safety protocols. Breakfast was served at the bar overlooking the ocean, amazing view! Nice pool area. When we came back on santiago island we stayed here again and they were kind enough to let us stay in the room until it was time to go to the airport (1AM!!)

Rooms are simple, though very pleasant and spotless. I had a room with sea view on the first floor (there is only ground floor and one floor), which had a balcony right on the ocean. The sea view in the morning made my day. Breakfast is very good, including local products (jam, cheese). During the pandemic the restaurant has e restricted offer but many dishes have a local twist to make local products and recipes known, all very good. From Thursdays to Sundays, there is a sushi dinner, with the freshest fish I ever had for sushis (Japanese consider the CV tuna one fo the best), prepared by expert hands. Service is outstanding! Friendly and caring, makes you really feel like an individual guest deserving individual service. You never have to repeat a request, reception even calls you to ask if your request was properly addressed. Aside from all the Covid-19 precautions listed below, temperature is quickly measured every time anyone enters the hotel premises. There is a swimming pool and a diving club with a very friendly manager. There are restaurants and a beach within walking distance.
