We stayed two nights. The place is located in a quiet safe area, a bit far from the city centre by walk (you need to take a taxi). The B&B was clean, so beautiful, tidy, the breakfast was an aweasome buffet and the owners are super kind and friendly! They really help us to decide where to go around the island. However, there was quite a big problem that makes us feel a bit uncomfortable: shower water was cold and there was something broken that allows water to spread out in the bathroom while we were having shower. We reported this issue but unfortunately they didn't do anything or at least gave any feedback or alternative. On the other hand we left really early for the airport and they let us some breakfeast, that was a really good point. It would be such a great accommodation, wasn't it for the issue with the shower.…
Nice quiet B&B in a qiet part of the city Praia; the owner is very friendly, forthcoming and eager to help (he can call a taxi for you for instance); he's got a Italian background, but also speaks portuguese, french and english. The room we had was good, spacious enough, a bit lacking in the bathroom department; a bit of a struggle with the shower every morning can be a good exercise :) But the beds are good and that's most important. We expected airconditioning but this place hasn't got any; as Praia is quite a hot city this proves to be too much for northern europeans; even at nights there's no chance to cool off. If you have a lazy day; try the almost-nearby beach of Quebra Canela, which is a surprisingly good beach (so close to the city centre); enough room for everyone, except in the weekend. A big shopping center is also on walking distance. The traffic is pretty much low tense so don't let that stop you. As for the B&B: the breakfast is good and there's a pool. However we preferred the beach.…
The hotel is lovely. Clean and welcoming. Our host spoke Italian and limited English which was fine as my partner speaks Italian and myself English. We booked very last minute (the day before) and there was only a twin room available. We request for the beds to be put together as a special request on the booking form. I am pleased to say on arrival we found this had been done for us. After arriving at the hotel we left pretty quickly as we needed to eat and had to watch a "very important football game". We had been recommended a place down the street to go and watch this by the taxi driver. After explaining this to our host he very quickly arranged a key for the front door in case we were back late. He also did not try to sell his favourite restaurants to us as he knew we already had somewhere in mind which was nice. We had a very comfortable nights sleep. In the morning we had break fast. Fresh coffee, tea, cereal, bread (with a selection of ham and cheeses), yogurt and a selection of fresh fruit. All round very good value for money :) …
Lino and Elida are perfect hosts. Our arrival flight was delayed and we did not arrive at the B & B till about 1 am. Lino greeted us with a smile, and a beer. This set the tone for the whole of our stay. We were there for 9 nights, on a diving holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, and the room was spotless. The little pool is a nice luxury. Lino was very helpful with advice on where to eat, and the only two things that prevent our giving 5 stars are the smell of cigarette smoke around the place (though not in the room) and the dog/cat/people noise at night. We went to bed early as we were diving every day, but especially on the Friday and Saturday nights, it was noisy. Were we ever to visit Praia again, we would certainly stay at Vivenda Viviani, as our two small gripes were not enough to prevent our thoroughly enjoying our stay. Great value for money!…
We had a nice staying in this place, the boss was a great guy and everything was ok. But something weird happened to me a this place when I was taking breakfast. It was a 10 minutes frame when someone took my money (120 €) from my trousers which I left at our room. I am 99% that the hotel cleaning staff took it, but because I left the door opened I cannot certify the other 1%. When we were speaking with the boss, he was defending his cleaning staff all the time, but I think this will be nice for next customer. I am sure I wont be the only one with this problem.
Hello everyone, I'd like to share our experience at the Vivenda Vivendi, which was just perfect. We first booked 2 nights over there, but as we found the place so nice, we booked afterwords one more night after our trip to Fogo. This B&B is located in a newly finished house, with perfectly cleaned and nicely decorated rooms. But definitely the most important thing I'd like to point out is that the owners are so amazing. Lino and his wife are very helpful and kind, doing their best in order to offer hospitality to guests and ensure the best stay possible. I would highly recommend this place for the following: helpful owners, clean and nice house, nice neighborhood (the beach is really close and there are a lot of restaurants nearby). Do not hesitate to book your stay at VV.
