Nice and professional hostel, with friendly and helpful staff. However the (included) breakfast is very frugal, the dorms very hot and at least one mattress needs to be replaced. The 6-beds dorms are actually 10-beds dorm. What I really did not like is that they sell water bottles for more than double the price than what is charged not only by shops, but even the surrounding restaurants and bars... It’s ok to make a small profit, but that is an exorbitant profit (and unfair to those who arrive at night from the airport)!

The Hostel only recently moved to a new location. The photos shown are out of date so I was quite curious how it all look like. Actually, I liked the new rooms and facilities (although they had to deal with technical issues). Pro: Closeness to Canela Beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Cons: breakfast is pretty poor The curtains: The first room I slept in (Ribeira da Prata, private room with shared bathroom) is facing a quiet alley The vertical slats blinds still let much light through. The alley is very narrow so it does not bother that much. Worse are the curtains in room "Tarrafal - private room with bathroom". Fortunately, I had a sleep mask with me.

Room Tip: Make shure you bring your sleep mask (as long as they don´t improve the curtains)

The hostel would be really nice, if only it wasn't so stuffy! In our room we felt as if we tried to sleep in the sauna; the fan did not help. The staff was nice and helpful, breakfast really poor but tasty, bathrooms clean. There was even luggage storage possible.

If your on a budget then this is a good option. People are friendly and helpful. Staff speak good English which is helpful. Breakfast is included but be aware like most hostels it is minimal and repetitive. Less than 10 minutes to the beach

Nice hostel, clean, nearby the beach (around 7 minutes walking distance) and with friendly staff. The Wi-Fi was also solid. Breakfast included. It was a bit empty but they don't promote themselves as a party hostel. Would recommend.

This hostel is amazing, the place is clean and comfy, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is simple and tasty; 100% recommend this hostel! I stayed with my 3 siblings and our mother in a dorm room and it was perfect.

Praiadise is by far the best hostel in Cape Verde! There are 4 rooms (2 private rooms and 2 dorms), 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a livingroom. Everything is really clean and well organised (including a 24/7 reception so it is no problem to arrive at night). The staff is really friendly, fun and helpful. They are all around the age of 20/25 and their English is good. I spent a great time with them during the evenings. Praiadise is also a great place to meet other backpackers but also for 'older' travellers I can really recommend this place. They are really easy with leaving stuff in the hostel when you travel to another islands. There is also not a real check out time. So even if you have a flight in the evening you may spend the day in the hostel. The last night I didnt sleep in Praiadise but I had to pick up my stuff and I was even allowed to take a shower before flying back home. Breakfast is included; it is basic but good, including fresh bread :) There is also a laundry service: you give your laundry in the morning and get it clean and dry back in the evening (3 euro). To go to the city center is a nice 15 min walk. It is not safe to walk back after 7/8 pm (really not!). However a taxi is just around 1 a 2 euro. About safety; everyone gets its own locker at the check in; so if you go out dont bring important stuff with you, just bring some money, thats all you need. Dont look for other hostels: I am sure Praiadise is the best hostel you will find in praia and even in whole Cape Verde. I loved the nights here and for sure I will choose praiadise the next time again. Keep going the good work!

Location: It is located in an expat neighborhood and very safe. In general, Cabo Verde is safe, but you do have to watch out for petty crime like bag snatching. The place is easy to get to via taxi and there are bus stations about 5 minutes away. There are several restaurants around the area and one big supermarket 5 minutes away as well. Hostel: The hostel is really perfect. It does not feel like Africa and it has all the amenities. The place can fit up to 16 people so it is not crowded and you get to meet other travelers and do activities together. They provide free breakfast, which is usually bread, butter/jam, fruits, eggs, and sometimes, the local breakfast. Very clean hostel and affordable. They have laundry service for 3 Euros and guess what, the INTERNET is super FAST. I was able to stream videos and watch movies on Netflix. -Make sure to try the local Ponch drink. They were very delicious and only 100 Escudos. They have around 8 flavors and my personal favorite was the honey one. The staff: - All of them are really wonderful and they care about you. They go out of their ways to help you in every way, which was nice. The good thing is that the staff speak English, so you won't face any language barrier. - They give you great recommendation on where to visit on the island. The price: - at 15 Euros a night, it was very reasonable. They have two 6-bed dorms and 2 double rooms for couples or people that don't want to share. - they have a small bar and drinks that are sold on site. The prices are also reasonable. Overall: - This was an excellent choice after coming from the grudge in Senegal. This was European standards and it was nice to take a shower, a clean bathroom with toilet seats, etc. It was a huge change coming from Western Africa. I 100% recommend this hostel and this is probably the only one in Praia. Oh, the taxi from the airport is 700 during the day and all other times are 1000. So, if you do arrive late or very early departure, make sure to pay no more than 1000 Escudos. There was visa on arrival for all nationalities at the airport for 25 Euros. You don't need to get a visa ahead of time. Trust me. pinchetravels.com for more on my blog.

We came there at night as the hotel has a 24 hour reception. Finding it was a little tricky but did not take us long. Staff is nice and breakfast is ok. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are ok as well. Good budget option a little off the city center.
