We visited the first week of January and expected to see very little since this is the rainy season. We were wrong. Our guide, Abe, took us on more safaris than we dreamed possible. Since we were the only ones in the lodge part of our stay, we had private tours and dinner. Abe even took us on a short...

This is an incredible place. So special. Richard was our guide, and he was so knowledgeable, fun, kind, attentive. We saw so many animals from many different perspectives, at different times of the day, in different environments. It was amazing! We've been on safari before and the game drives here were infinitely better. Richard prepared a special breakfast for me...

Service we received from all staff was amazing. We loved the fact that we got our own personal guide, Richard, who was very knowledgeable on the animals and birds in the area. We could also customize our itinerary to our needs, which was great. The rooms are big and clean and we loved spending time on the hammock outside the...

We visited Imbabala for 3 nights of our honeymoon. We were treated like royalty and had some fantastic experiences on the river with the elephants crossing and on land helping a lioness who had been caught in a poachers snare. The food and hospitality was five star and we cannot recommend our guide Richard enough. Thankyou Imbabala.

Small size Lodge meant more personalised service. Staff made every effort to ensure you were happy with your stay. Stan, safari guide, was fantastic. Good food and lots of opportunities to see animals in their natural habitat

Imbabala Lodge felt like a home away from home when we visited from October 9-12, 2016. The people there are warm and friendly. We were picked up at the Livingstone, Zambia airport and transferred to Zimbabwe (30 minutes) by a very nice driver. Note, we came in on Air Kenya from Nairobi, a direct, nonstop flight.
