I am planning to go to Victoria Falls after 8 days Migration Safari in Tanzania. What is the best route to fly and what airline? We will be flying from Kilimanjaro Airport. I
Hi Cindy. Batonka is 2.1 Km from the Falls so it can be easily walked or it is $5 by taxi. You can to both sides Zim & Zam without a guide. Hope this helps

Hi, we would like to spend two nights in Zimbabwe after 8 days of safari in Tanzania. How far is the hotel from Victoria Falls? We'd like to see the falls from both countries, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Can we do it without a guide?
Batonka is just a short drive from downtown Victoria Falls, actually just a longish walk. It's a longer drive to the park entrance which is actually in Zimbabwe. I did the whole length from the park side (Zimbabwe side) I think you would be best off with a guide to pick you up and facilitate your entrance, see that you have ponchos (very active mist at some times of year) that you may need, depending when you go. You will need a special visa for both Zimbabwe and Zambia if your going to both sides. It's not like Niiagra Falls where there's an equal view from both sides.Very restricted from Zambia side. It's like watching the river flowing and disappearing over the rim from the Zambia side, but there are some interesting pools formed at the top, better seen from that side. But again it depends on when your going. Water volume varies with the season and what you'll experience, We were amazed at what we witnessed in late June and, I believe the volume diminishes in late Sept/ October. It's still an awesome site, but, in my opinion, best viewed from the Zimbabwe side.

Hi, We’re currently planning a 3 week trip for 2019 that includes a 3 night stay at the Batonka Guest House. As we’ll have already completed a week of safari, we’re wondering if there are any laundry facilities at the Lodge or nearby.
Barbara, I believe that Batonka has laundry facilities...but I suggest emailing the manager, Adrian, who will certainly get back to you right away with the exact answer.

I’m planning a trip with my 18 year old daughter and her friend. Does the lodge have rooms to accommodate 3? The girls can share a bed, assuming it’s not a twin size— or are bed sizes different in Zimbabwe than US? I can’t figure out bed sizes as the info doesn’t state.
I believe they do. We stayed in king room, but I’m fairly certain there are rooms with two beds. They may even be able to put a rollaway in a king room if they don’t. I suggest reaching out to the lodge. Everyone there was very helpful.
