Initially got a room in the old wing, which was quite plain and certainly not Meikles standard; not happy at all with the state of the bathroom either. The staff were very accommodating and understanding, we were shifted to the new wing, the rooms there are definitely much comfortable and aesthetically appealing. Many thanks to Brian (front desk), Abraham (duty...

This is a lovely hotel in a country that is struggling, and that needs to be remembered when goings through the pros and cons. There are indeed holes in your towels and the sheets have occassionally seen better days. I stayed here a few times. Rooms in the old wing are darker but they are quieter, the new wing seems...

This hotel is an institution in Harare. It has the history. It is greatly located right in the heart of the city. All the front-office staff offer a very polished and efficient service. And in a nod to modernity, the wifi works well throughout the property. But, it is definitely not up to the standards that I would expect from...

Really nice hotel in the heart of Harare. The staff makes you feel welcome, they are friendly and helpful. Good food and the rooms have beautiful details, are clean and confortable. Good internet is also a plus. This hotel is near to a small shopping mall and market.

The hotel was a mix of highs and lows.  It's a nice place, a bit "faded grandeur", but very clean and the gardens were beautiful.  My room was lovely, with an extra large bathroom, and I slept really well - a surprise for me.  This was a work trip, and I find that I often can't sleep in a strange...

The one and only Meikles Hotel is situated in the cetre of Harare CBD. It is convenient to business people to move around to business meeting venues and for shopping after work. The place is secure and offers shuttle services for guests not familar to Harare town.

Meikles, without a doubt, has to be, one of the more if not the most user-friendly hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in. Driving to the hotel if you do not have your eyes sky-bound, you are likely to miss the grand majesty of the structure and the little bit of sky it has stolen. Judging from the...

A few months back I gave written a review about the maritime hotel Frankfurt and it's beds and said that these beds are the most uncomfortable to sleep in... well... they have just been beaten... the hotel itself is average... very friendly staff ... Good food ... rooms are ok... but those beds... don't expect to get a good rest...
