I only spent one night here, when our safari company upgraded our stay to this location. Staying inside Serengeti National Park itself was a treat, but after we saw the budget tented camp (dropping off two passengers) we worried what our lodging would look like. What a relief when we pulled up to Serengeti Heritage Camp. The hostess met us upon arrival, and Masai security carried our bags to our tents. I loved the vintage vibe here, but with modern comforts. It looked like Teddy Roosevelt would feel at home in these rooms, which were tented upon wooden floors, with large comfy beds, an overstuffed chair, hot shower, flush toilet and extra blanket in a chest. We needed that because it got chilly at night, during which we could hear strange animal sounds. Our guide told us the next day that he'd heard a lion, and a hyena. We really enjoyed the food here, served buffet style. There's a bar and an outdoor fire pit area that lets you soak in a Serengeti sunset while staying warm. Everyone here was pleasant and helpful. If you walk to your tent after dark the Masai security escort you. So beautiful, so memorable, I want to go back and stay there already!

The camp offers everythig needed on a safari in Serengeti . People are very pleasant and helpful, the camp is comfortable and well suited for the purpose. prices for drinks etc are not outreagous, but of course Serengeti level. The food was tasty and in good quality. We had an exciting stay , thanks to all the staff members. ( I could have given 5 stars , because everything was very good, but of course , other places may offer more luxury )

We stayed here for 2 nights during a safari and had a wonderful experience. Beds were very comfortable (although we only needed to be in a tent with two beds, we were put in a tent with a large king bed and two twin beds. As a result, we didn't have much "free" space in the tent. The power situation was explained to us at check-in (solar power during the day and generator/hot water only during certain times). We never had an issue with phones/cameras not being charged since our safari vehicle also had the ability to charge. If you didn't have that as an option, I could see that maybe being an issue. The food was DELICIOUS! Every meal we had there, including our boxed lunch, was excellent. The staff was super welcoming and kind. We were one of two guests there at the time. Wifi - there was no wifi access at the camp, but I was still able to get LTE service on my mobile so I was semi-connected. Keep in mind when planning your stay! My only critique during our stay was the water pressure. It was OK for a simple shower, but not strong enough to wash my thick hair. Not a huge deal, as we planned accordingly. Keep this in mind when planning your stay/trip.

Response from Green Mashauri, General Manager at Serengeti Heritage Camp

Dear littlecat7 this is an amazing feedback from you, @serengetiheritage is delighted to have you and hope to host you again on your next visit. I’m informed that you were placed in a three bedroom tent for safety reasons as you were the only guests around and a twin beds tent was a bit further from the main area. WiFi connectivity. We have recently changed out WiFi connectivity procedures that not most of our staffs are aware of I believe that was why you were informed otherwise, we are really sorry for the inconvenience. The water pressure has been our recent problem as well due to the bad weather around the park we haven’t been able to fully operate our electric motors as we save power for other use. We could fix that upon request. Thank you for the feedback, we shall do our best to make improvements on the matters you have highlighted.
