This is a good camp, spread over a fairly large area, making the walk to the restaurant rather a long one. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food fine. The tent was clean and comfortable.

This camp is deceptive. The tents are basic but do include ensuite facilities, don't come here if you are looking to be pampered, come here for the experience and the location. This is the middle of the Serengeti and to have water and electricity is simply a bonus. The staff were lovely and the main restaurant was gorgeous. The beds...

This certainly does not qualify as a luxury camp, but it's nice if you're looking for a small step up from a camping trip (you get a bed and a bathroom). Pros: The night drive for $30 per person was fantastic. Strongly recommend because you will see completely different types of animals (bush babies were our favorite) Pretty good dinners....

Of all the lodges we stayed at on our safari, this was the only one that was bad and it was shockingly bad by contrast to the others. We realized right after dinner that we had no water (flushing the toilet appeared to overwhelm our water system so from that moment on we didn't even have water from our tap)...

The best thing about this camp is the staff who are all really friendly. The rooms are very spacious with expansive views of the Serengeti. The Flintstone style bathrooms are simple however the hot water service was not reliable. The dining room is quite basic and open (with the occassional bats) but the food was tasty and healthy- their soups...

Ikoma Bush Camp is only a short 10 minute drive from the Ikoma gate, nicely located in the central Serengeti. We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our 10 day safari and out of all our accomodations we enjoyed Ikoma the least. In my opinion the accomodations are only average. Sparingly furnished and our mattress was very hard...

Ikoma was a nice place to stay. We were there only for one night, so it was difficult to judge everything. But all the basic facilities like electricity, water, food were good. The only problem was with the hot water. We were told that hot water is only available in the evenings from 6 pm to 11 pm. No hot...

This upgraded lodging was the worst part of our camping safari. We decided to splurge one night just to see how it would compare to our camping experience. Honestly, I wish that we had saved our money and just stuck with the basic accommodations provided by our excellent safari outfit - Good Earth Safari (www.goodearthtours.com). The service at Ikoma was...

we appreciated that we were in the middle of Africa but three out of the four of us got food poisoning as did other guests. This however was not the problem - the managers refused to acknowledge the problem and indeed were almost rude. No charm whatsoever which was a shame as most of the staff were friendly and helpful....

We stayed here for two nights in December 2009 and also spent New Year`s Eve at Ikoma Bush Camp, which was nice. ACCOMODATION The safari tents were spacious and very nice with a four-poster bed and mosquito netting and a seperate bathroom. All tents had a lot of privacy and were spread out into the acacia dotted savannah with great...
