The staff is truly personable and show great hospitality. The setting in the Serengeti is awesome. The food is very good with African influences. Like many properties maintenance is an issue. Rustic is fine, but when it gets dangerous it is time to replace irregular and rotten steps (shown in photo).

The location - VERY pleasant. On top of a little hill inside what I think is the central Serengeti area, the Serengeti Serena is in a most tranquil setting with beautiful views. The rooms - overall comfortable and pleasant. Compared to some of the other lodges I have stayed at, the rooms are on the small side, but definitely adequate...

The lodge is beautiful with comfy, beautiful verandas and a pool with exquisite views over the Serengeti. I walked behind the villas for a sunset photo and came very close to game animals. The restaurant and bar service is excellent and the service is attentive. Wifi very good in the lounge areas and there is tea for self-service. Really enjoyed...

This lodge is in the heart of the Serengeti! while dining one night we saw a huge buffalo walk by about 15 feet away! heard lions roaring at night not far from our hut. Great food and incredible location. the room was quite warm overnight since you can't leave your door open and the small fan helped. Would have been...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our safari honeymoon. The staff at reception gave us the most enthusiastic welcome we had for our whole trip and put us in the honeymoon suite which had an incredible panoramaic view out over the Serengeti. They even included a bowl of fresh fruit and a letter specifically...

The hotel has nice rooms in little huts, food is good - better than the Ngorongoro Serena hotel. Location is central in the Serengeti, but at the same time, therefore in the middle of no where so expect long drives for your safari trips.

I stayed here in first week of April for 2 days, we had zebras, dikdiks and different kinds of deer roaming freely in front of our balcony. The hotel has a great view of the whole serengeti and we could see the wilderbeest and others on the migration route as little ants from the room. The food was buffet and...

The room and bath were well-appointed. Bed comfortable and an easy to use mosquito net. Big problem was the lake of either AC or overhead fan. Had a small oscillating fan on a table but it did not provide much air movement. Room had a nice private balcony that looked our into the veld. Good wildlife viewing from the balcony...

We stayed two nights at the Serengeti Serena Lodge. The lodge is in the Serengeti so the location is fine. The food was nothing great., and actually it was just not very good. They often ran out of jams, butter, etc at breakfast. There was a large bug in the pasta one night so I pointed it out to them....

I spent two nights at this beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The wood carving throughout the hotel was amazing. The view from the balcony was amazing, and the wildlife walking through was excellent. I went to the dining room in the morning, got a cup of tea, and when I walked outside to sit down, I stopped...
