We stayed in more expensive tented camps, I really enjoyed the setting of this camp. The tents were lovely and we also had a great view from our tent. During our 2 night stay we saw a giraffe, elephants, monkeys, hyrax and klipspringers right from our tent door. Service was great and the meals were well prepared. We heard lions...

Run by the Serena group, this is "camping" in luxury. Each tent is more like a luxury hotel room with canvas sides and roof. Double basins, great shower, wifi and two large beds; all accompanied, in our case, by the roaring of a lion and an impala in front of our tent. Klipspringer antelope abound in the rocks around which...

Great permanent tents with two California king size or king side beds, a huge bathroom with double sinks and a wonderful shower. The meals were delicious. But it was the staff that was outstanding. They were so friendly and helpful. And, I must mention Albert who so enthusiastically helped us find some klipspringers and rock hyraxes that we were looking...

The tents are huge, with 2 large size beds, and the bathroom was super! Shower provided consistent hot water, and lots of room to put clothes both wet and dry. The staff is really well trained, quite friendly, and make staying enjoyable. Drinks prices were reasonable. Food was excellent, and we had the chef check in with us a couple...

If you want a great place, look no further. TENTS: Fantastic tents with two large beds (king size?), a desk, chairs...very comfortable. There is a phone in the tent to call the front desk, which is genius because if it is after dark, you will want an escort to the main lodge tent for dinner. There is a full bathroom...

Not just because we were in the Serengeti but because of the people. EVERYONE there was very attentive and friendly. The tents were large and comfortable with showers. Security was plenty and the chef was accommodating. A Huge shout out to Venus, Alpha, Lucy, Essau, Philip, Haji, and everyone else....Thank You!

We stayed here for 2 nights in low season. The place was very quiet with only 1 or 2 other tents being occupied. The tents are lovely and have everything you could require. We had a good view from our tent and saw lots of klipspringers and hyrax just outside. The food and restaurant service were all fine but just...

I am certainly not a camper, but I really enjoyed this stay as part of our safari. The tented camp idea is great for people like me who want the connection to the outdoors, but a comfy bed and private bathroom too! We were certainly connected to the outdoors, my husband found a big lizard on his bathrobe - lucky...

When you enter mbuzi mawe you feel very welcomed by the lovely staff. They will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The tents are very comfortable and spacious. After dark the staff will accompany you go your tent because of the animals that can walk freely through the tented camp. (while we were there a leopard...
