My wife and I spent a lovely 3 days at the camp as part of our honeymoon, a few comments: - The tents are a little older than the Serengeti camp that we stayed in, and the noise of the tent canopy in the wind was a problem on the first night however, once mentioned to the staff, this was...

Nduara Loliondo camp is a very special place. Not only do Nomad's expert guides offer to walk with you through the bush locally they also drive you out onto the short-grass plains to experience the Wildebeest migration. There's a Masai Bunda nearby too for first hand experience of the life and culture of this nomadic pastoral tribe. The tented camp...

We stayed at Loliondo on a safari organized by Nomad. It was one of many highlights of an unforgettable week. On the Piyaya plains, just outside the Serengeti National Park, this mobile camp allows you a lot more freedom than locations inside the parks themselves, where there are practical restrictions. You can start your day with a walking safari through...

Nomad mobile camps are great. The accommodations, staff and food outstanding..However we drove from Norgono Crater , it would be better to fly and due to lack of rain there was no game around the camp. disappointing.

We're very grateful that you took the time to share your experience of our camp here and we're delighted that you enjoyed the food and accommodation, and were well looked after by our staff. You're right, the drive from the Ngorongoro Crater is a long one but it can also be exceptionally beautiful and interesting, crossing Olduvai Gorge and the...

What an outstanding camp !!! The location is sensational, and you could not feel more immersed in the Tanzanian wildlife, the staff is very corteuous, the meals are delightful and the common areas make you wish you could stay there for a whole year !! Be warned that, as a camp, you must abdicate some of the extravagant comforts hig...

In a 7 days safari holidays in Tanzania, we stayed at Nduara Loliondo for 2 nights and I must say that this tented camp proved to be a very good choice we've made in our trip's planning. The tents are new (the yurts are now gone as they were too noisy on windy nights and were replaced by spacious and...

Great mobile camp, comfortable, clean, inviting.. And how they managed to turn out such good food in the middle of nowhere is beyond me. Their carrot ginger soup was as good I've had at restaurants in Los Angeles. Loved the walking safari as well as the night game drive. Our guide, Cornelius, was excellent - from spotting animals to choosing...

This is a mobile camp which moves between the Northern and Southern Serengeti. In December-March the camp is located to the East of Ndutu (about a three hour drive). I stayed here in late December 2012. This is a remote tented camp and compared to other tented camps it does better on food and service. With only six tents, it...

If you can't wait to get out of your jeep and walk, touch, smell, and even taste the wild, this is the camp for you! Immerse yourself in the spectacular landscape by becoming part of it. Emphasis is on being outside, communing with nature! This is Massai country and during our 3 days, cattle bells filled the air and dozens...

We visited Nomad's Loliondo Camp as the second camp of an 8 day trip after three days at the Serengeti Safari Camp. After three days cooped up in our Land Cruiser it was a delightful contrast to be able to do walking safaris. Accompanied by an armed guard, a Masai and our guide Ken, we walked through the spectacular countryside...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Since we first came to Loliondo in the early 90's, we've been captivated by the sense of freedom and space here. This is Maasailand, wild and unspoiled and without the restrictions of the National Parks. This is a safari camp with a difference. A breath of fresh air, full of light and space. And Loliondo offers a different perspective on safari: walks, picnics, night drives and the chance to experience the life style of the Maasai who live in this wild part of Africa. ... more   less
