Don't get too excited about the marketing brochure produced by Africa Travel Resources (ATR Safari Limited) who then subs you out to MKSC (a French Company) and operating as Tanganyika Expeditions out of Arusha. Tanganyika Expeditions owns several camps including Mawe Ninga in Tarangire, Olduvai Camp, Ronjo Camp in Seronera and Grumeti Retreat Lodge. Complicated but helps you understand that...

If you do a safari in Tanzania, this camp is a MUST. It's the least modern but greatest experience. We could hear the animals right outside our tent every night as we slept or tried to sleep. When you want a shower, you tell the staff a few minutes before. We always took our shower when we returned from the...

When you think of a safari and picture it in your mind, this camp is exactly what I always imagined. Out in the middle of no where, fancy tents with all of the modern conveniences of a safari experience (flush toilets, hot showers, a bar, nice food and a big bonfire). It was hard to imagine that we were so...

We loved this place, it felt like we were part of the Serengeti, a big herd of Zebra and Wildebeest right out the front, Giraffe and hyenas wandering around, and mystery animal sounds through the night. Some may find the nightlife a little off putting but you don't go to the Serengeti to have a relaxing nights sleep....do you? The...

stayed 2 nights and that was enough for me after staying previously in tents with nice en suites and plenty of hot water. However if you want to experience being in the central Serengeti on real safari then may be you'll enjoy it more than I did! This is meant to be a mobile tent site however it has been...

Tanganyika Expeditions does an amazing job and we had a fantastic week in Tanzania. Sayeed was a terrific guide and we saw everything possible, including a cheetah chase down a gazelle right in front of our land cruiser. This is one of the best outfits to go with for your ultimate safari. My kids, wife and I loved every minute....

Made us feel we really in Africa. Animal noises at night, including lions, but always Massai security around. Food good, and service excellent, friendly. Saw giraffes walking by and African hares hopping around.

This well-appointed camp sits neatly on the Serengeti. Tented yes, but solid flooring takes away the hiking feeling. Maasai guardsmen take care in the evenings, following you around with big lamps, as wildlife will run around and through camp at night. Expect sniffing hyenas and whinnying zebras as well as beautiful birds on your doorstep.

We spent two nights at Ronjo mobile tented camp as part of a 15 day safari arranged by the UK firm, Go2Tanzania. Our tent, one of just a handful, was comfortable and quiet and the camp was well located in the central, or Seronera, part of the Serengeti. The camp was very well run and food and service were both...

This tented camp is a lovely place, 2 big fire pits, spacious tents, situated in the Serengetti. It is solar powered so lights in the tent were limited but there was power at the main tent. the food was perfectly pleasant, staff were nice and friendly. I left my sunglasses behind (we were up early for a hot air balloon...
