This was the first place we stayed at during our recent safari holiday in Tanznia. It is along the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, and is surrounded by the most wonderful wildlife. It is a well run establishment, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. You are greeted in a reception /visitors' area with the normal drink on arrival, detailed information... More

We stayed one night at this beautiful lodge and wished we could have had another to fully take in the beauty of the lodge and the surroundings. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel welcome and the staff were knowledgeable and informed us fully of all the lodge had to offer. The luxury tents were fitted... More

A totally unique place to stay. I was blown away with the creativity and site appropriate construction of the chalets, reception and restaurant areas. Views to the Serengeti were amazing as we watched the migration of many animals. Pool was good fun and staff were very helpful especially the manager, Paul.

Stayed here for 2 nights on our safari. What an amazing lodge with a lot of African decor! It's a spread out place with beautiful views over the Serengeti. Food was buffet style, & chocolate Sponge cake was delicious. Don't miss the sunrise from the pool area / restaurant. Compliments to staff for a wonder full service in the middle... More

This was a unique place we stayed on our safari for 2 nights , wished we could had more time to enjoy the facility. Amazing Pool with a view of Serengeti. Service & Food was great too. Highlight of this area is resident game on 16km towards the lodge and grumeti River area 45 to 1 hour from here.

You wake up in the morning and have breakfast on the verandah watching Wildebeests and Zebras. The view is amazing, the camp is build along a hill side overlooking a valley with a river, where wild animals roam in the morning and evenings. As I sat in the pool, I watched a bull elephant walk along the river bank and... More

The Mbalageti resort is remote, but the property is beautiful. The rooms are nice enough - we were in one of the free standing suites. I enjoyed the outdoor bathtub, but thought the decor was confusing overall. Additionally, power is turned off between 11pm and 6pm. My husband was very hot without a fan. The staff wasn't as friendly or... More

Mbalageti was an unforgettable experience! One of those moments in life when you check in with yourself and ask "How did I wind up in this magical place again and how was I so lucky?" That first moment when you walk out to the pool side bar and look across to see the most magnificent view of the Serengeti imaginable!... More
