Rooms were recently renovated and comfortable. Food was good. Pool, sunrise and sunset were very scenic. Many animals nearby. Service was good.

Got a surprise upgrade to this lodge during our safari, and it lived up to its reputation. Views of the Serengeti from anywhere in the lodge are amazing, especially from the pool deck. Meals in the restaurant area were really great - wish we could have stayed for more than just one night. Definitely recommend as the first choice for...

Really did like the location, it's in the northernly part of the serengeti, and you can see wildlife just outside your windows. Unfortunately it was a bit difficult to get things done here though. We were given a room with 2 single beds, and when asked to be moved it took quite some time. The door nobs kept on falling...

The location is just awesome! The lodge apparently has been renovated within the last one year, so everything was new and refreshing. But I would recommnend this place just for the Serengeti view. The food was good and service was good too. thei view point was just terrific. By the way, I have to also say how great our safari...

The Lobo Wildlife Lodge is a recently privatized lodge built by the Tanzanian government in the late 60s. It's been well maintained, but like all properties of that age, it will soon be due for a refresh. The lodge sits atop a large rock outcropping which offers spectacular views from all angles. One special feature is the lodge's swimming pool,...

So in case you didn't know, the Wildlife lodges were formerly government owned and therefore sport the best locations in each national park. Lobo is no exception. However a few years ago they were sold to Indians who have renovated the rooms but have certain management issues. This lodge is the best run out of all te Wildlife lodges.

Despite of our family booking we had to pay for another room charges $ 370 approx. for kids. The hotel manager was a ruthless man with no etiquette and extremely rude behavior. The man at the reception was no less. Under compulsion, as there was no other nearby hotel in Serengeti National Park, we had to take another room for...

The Lobo Wildlife Lodge is another one of the formerly government-owned and now privatized Wildlife Lodges with similar interior, decor and food. We stayed at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge before and were surprised to get the same food again. As a difference, dinner and also breakfast were served, probably because there weren't too many guests around. The food was ok,...

During our safari we spent two nights in the Lobo lodge. The Lobo lodge is situated north of the Serengeti park and takes around two and half hours driving from the Serengeti main gate. In the beginning we were a little disappointed as it takes a long drive to get to the lodge. After two nights staying there we are...
