Agreed on 50$ for a night. Room was not very God but okey for a night. Construction site right out side of our window. When we checked out the prize had raised to 85$ did of course not accept that but had to argue with them. But they was trying to fraud us. To expensive compete to the quality of...

I went to this hotel on january. I arrive and pay cash 98 USD. I have to pay in advance. I took the room and was not so clean, the shower broken, the mosquito net unuseless, the bed very small and the smell of the room terrible.

Reading the past reviews, it seems that the hotel is under construction for a very long time. It still looks now, many things are provisional and the way from the reception to the room was quite dirty and muddy. The rooms are nice and clean though, staff was nice and also helpful in booking a table in a restaurant. Breakfast...

I spent one night in the Palm Beach Hotel. Although the staff were friendly and helpful - offering to have my ferry ticket bought for me and calling a taxi whenever I needed one, the hotel itself left much to be desired. The floor between reception and the casino was missing - giving the impression that construction was still ongoing....

I have stayed twice at the Palm Beach. It is a decent 3-4 star hotel located 15 minutes walking from downtown Dar. It is a bit pricey for the age of the hotel and when we visited this time, there was a great deal of construction going on. I thought we should have received a discount for that. Once it...

Note the many good ratings for this hotel on this website, and we were booked in here by our central office colleagues. Cannot say that my experience matched the reviews on here. Nobody at reception to check us in, no service, only place to eat was the small outside area full of mossies, corridors smelt of beer and the taxi...

First of all, the hotel is really quite cheap by Dar-Es-Salaam standards. 110 USD per night. Secondly, it is a bit queerly built, the rooms are all of different sizes and the name of the hotel is somewhat misleading. The beach is near, but the hotel is across a busy road from the beach. Overall, the first inpression is poorish,...

We have stayed here for some years now. We use the palm beach for getting off flights. The rooms are fine. C-plus let us say. Some are deluxe and some a weeny bit boxlike. When the rooms are good, they smoke all of the 5 star establishments in town. When they are sort of boxlike. The good thing about this...

The Palm beach is no where near a beach, but it used to be! It's beside the busy Ali Hassan Mwinyi road, but it has a garden that is strangely quiet. The rooms vary from small but well appointed singles, to large well appointed double/singles. What you get depends upon what is available at the time. Everything is spotless. Internet...

Excellent hotel to stay close to the city centre if one cannot afford to spend a lot more. Clean. Everything you need is in the room: fridge, sockets, free Wifi; kettle, cups, TV. Adequate shower and toilet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar and restaurant that serves good value for money everyday fare. Garden noisy (traffic) but well visited....
