I honestly don't like writing bad reviews but this one just got me. I arrived a Sunday night and being tired just paid for the three nights I'd spend before checking out the rooms. I barely slept, the carpet stunk, there were flies in the restaurant and rats in the rooms. The rats stole the coffee packet from the table....

Had taken to staying at this hotel over the past few years and was impressed. Recently here again, welcome still friendly, price competitive, check in good, bags taken to room, breakfast still modest but fresh and ac working. However, a few things are in need of attention - bath on running - leaked; wifi service (could be service provider) was...

Very dirty. Not in an area with accessible food. Food at Kebby's is limited and not good. First room, 206, the water in the sink didn't run and the phone didn't work, plus it smelled like pee. Second room was better, but I'm pretty sure I'm taking bed bugs to my next destination. Shower head broken and water coming out...

I stayed at Kebbys for three nights during a workshop in Dar. Good position related to the area where I had to work. Confortable rooms, small bathroom although the shower was larger than normal. Bed relatively new. Everything was clean. The structure probably needs some revisions. Wifi well working at the floor, room quite silentious. The restaurant is not attractive...

I visited this hotel last year before commencing reviews. Needed to be in Dar es Salaam again earlier this month and decided to try the premises again - was not disappointed. The welcome was warm, check in was quick and friendly and luggage taken to my room. Buffet breakfasts were modest (included in room rate) but quite adequate and other...

Enjoyed my stay here very much. Staff was friendly at front desk, restaurant and bar. At around $50, it's the best value I have found in Dar. My room was nice, modern, clean. Nice big windows with a view of the city. Bathroom was a little tight and might be a problem for a large person. Airport shuttle is a...

Stayed here while attending a conference at the university. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Slept well. Little fridge in room to stock your own drinks or water provided. Breakfasts very adequate with a Tanzanian flavour. Evening meals need ordering around 45 minutes in advance but were tasty. Staff obliging. English levels vary, but communication was not a problem. This is...

There really is nothing to recommend this hotel. At $67.00 per night its not so cheap that the poor quality can be excused. I arrived to be received by moody reception staff. In the first room I was sent to, the basin in the bathroom drained directly onto the bathroom floor. The reception staff left it to the porter and...

Everyone seemed to be trying really hard, but this place was just quite bad to be honest. The rooms look lovely when you walk in, but it doesn't take long to see the problems. I had to change rooms 2 times - the first time the air conditioner was dripping onto an electrical outlet, the second time there was no...

The ladies at the reception are moody. There is one who i found to be proud (i think she sells forex at a room next to the reception). When i presented a complaint she wasnt part of the discussion but she threw in rude words and i was left wondering...what the hell was that? Nothing personal but i hope this...

“I had a sea view room but you can barely see the ocean, it is pretty far away. What you see is the street in front and buildings in the distance,a dn then a glimpse of the sea. Definitely not worth paying extra, although I believe there is no charge.”
