I stayed at the hotel for 13 night. Rooms are clean, but very poorly runned. TV has only 5 channels and no international news channel, such as BBC, CNN, or other ... just some sport channels and 1 or 2 local channels.. very very dissapointing.. The food is reasonable but.. my last night I ordered a pizza and the price doubled when they brought it. From 14.000 TZS to 32.000 TZS, inclusive 3.000 TZS room service, (Which I accept) but I do not accept a double of the price because the chef decided it. I send it back .. The staf is friendly and helpful but very young and limited in english .. and at the reception always on their telephone and / or eating. I am sorry but this is not a professional behaviour. The restaurant is like a "canteen" with tables with no atmosphere, They want you to eat quickly and leave even faster. Next time I am in Dar Es Salaam, I will chose another hotel, and will report this to the company i am working for.

When I walked into this posh hotel I thought I was in for a real treat. Security was tight, workers were very professional, furnishings sophisticated, and prices were high. I checked a couple of hotels before giving up and taking a room here with the enticing swimming pool.
Once in the room I was disappointed to find the bed had a board between the worn mattress and foundation to keep it from sagging which only made it too hard. There is no mosquito net but there is a wonderful loud a/c which will help drown out the music from the club on the top floor.
The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom and impressive shower. It had a small fridge which was even louder than that a/c. I turned it off. The hotel is several floors with doors opening onto an interior corridor. The elevator did not stop on my floor so I had to get off and carry my things up to the next floor.
I went to the car in the heavily guarded parking lot later in the night. I was shocked to see the number of "working girls" in the parking lot and lobby. In the elevator I listened to one have a conversation on the phone about how slow business was that night. It left me feeling dirty.

I stayed at this hotel with my two kids and husband during a short trip to Dar-es-salaam when I was attending a meeting. The hotel is situated on a busy road so there is easy access to it, and it is located about 10-15 min from the city centre. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. I enjoyed the free wifi, which was reliable. During electricity shortages, the back up generator always worked within seconds so that really helped. The rooms are a decent size and the air conditioning system works very well so you do not have to worry about sweating profusely. All in all, for the price and location, I highly recommend this place, especially since the staff are all so friendly and are always willing to help!

A nice place to stay. I enjoyed myself. Keep it up, Regency Park. I liked even the musical events that are lined up at the garden downstairs. A nice place to stay with a spectacular view of the sea. I liked the breeze of the sea.

I enjoyed my stay at the Regency Park in September 2015. Very reasonable rates. Tremendously helpful and professional staff. Evening atmosphere at the hotel is very pleasing especially when you want to simply relax at the end of a busy day. Upper management spring to help anytime you need it. I would stay that this hotel every time I am in Dar es salaam.

First, I arrived to the reception after the check in time and they asked me to wait 45 minutes to get a room. Normally not a big issue, but given that I was just arriving from a very long flight, it was annoying.

Second, the second morning I was having a shower and I had one of those "F...K" moments, when I realised they took the dirty towels, without putting any new towel at all. No towels, at all! They should have lest the dirty one at least...

Third, the cleaning ladies would come in the room without knocking at any random time... I woke up one morning with a cleaning lady inside once.

Fourth, I booked with Hotels.com and paid in advance. They claimed they didn't have "contract" with Hotels.com and I had to pay again, despite me showing the payment confirmation. I argued that I had already paid and the receptionist accused me of trying to cheat and called the manager. The manager starting shouting at me, arguing that I was cheated by Hotels.com and I had to pay them... I was locked 30 min in the hotel, as they wouldnt let me go, and the manager kept on yelling... Some other guests helped me, luckily, and I had to show my MasterCard account showing that the money was actually debited of my account... Needless to say, I didn't really feel confortable showing my master card expenses to a random, aggressive, hotel manager...

All in all, a bad experience.

I emailed several times to ensure I would be picked up from the airport. I was assured that it was confirmed by the hotel staff. Unfortunately no one was there to pick me up. When I arrived at the hotel, I was given no welcome, no apology, no smile. Very poor customer service. The room was large and clean. The air conditioner worked, but had not been turned on so the room was very hot. There was complimentary warm water to drink. The breakfast was a disappointment. I made the mistake of ordering dinner in the restaurant one night. It took 2 hours to arrive. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel. It is poor value for money.

I don’t have a choice, my work selected this hotel. I give them two stars for hot water and seemingly (so far) functional internet. That’s about it. No gym, but a “studio” on the top floor that offers classes that no one seems to be able to give information about. Terrible restaurant, ordered a Niçoise salad which was basically boiled potato, olives and some type of fried fish, which took 45 min to be ready. The coffee bar menu on their lobby wall looks tempting, but the joke is they don’t actually have any coffee besides instant. Saw many small black bugs on the floor of my room that I’m trying not to think about.

The pricing is fair and it is near Shopper's mall where you can access all necessities. The Hotel has a swimming pool that is not in Use and has no gym facilities. the bathrooms are small and customer service needs to be improved.
The reception area is very scattered and gives you a bad first impression. Rooms are fairly good but with very tinny bathrooms. The rooms have un attractive channels on DSTV and the WIFI is poor.
Breakfast is fair and meals take 20 Minutes Turn around time,
Good for a short stay
