We came to the hostel on short notice and they were highly accommodating. We were three travellers staying for overnight before catching the ferry to Zanzibar. We were presented with a well sized room with ensuite as well as air-con and fan. It had an international crowd staying in the place. By recommendation of friends we went to eat in... More

This run down hotel in the back streets of Dar is basic, but clean and value for the money you pay. This does not mean the shower will work, and hot water does not exist. But the Manager was wonderful, building was clean, shower tiles maybe not so. Difficult to hang a mossie net. Workers have an energy and attitude... More

Stayed last month in this hotel for a couple of days on many occasions. This place is slightly off the main road(libya Road) in the city center. They have both a/c and non a/c rooms and are comfortable. Basic Breakfast is provided along with the room. Only problem with this property is that it is very difficult to get rooms... More

We stayed at Econo Lodge for one night before heading to Zanzibar. The location is very convenient, as their are a few restaurants within walking distance, and we could walk to the ferry port the next morning. The hotel is quite shabby, but our room seemed clean enough. The breakfast was the worst of our trip - a piece of... More

Rooms are large and clean, hot water and A/C worked well. It has free wifi in the lobby only. The management was helpful and professional. Best perk was that it's only a few blocks from the ferries, so perfect if you're coming to/from Zanzibar.

We had everything we needed there and all was very good. I didn´t wanna leave after six nights. We felt safe and taken care of. Lovely place! If I ever should go to Dar again, I´d definitely choose this hotel.

We spent 4 or 5 nights there and that was a bit two much. The room are big and seem to be clean. We had big bathroom as well but either no hot water, either no pressure. And when we say no pressure it is really NO pressure...you have to accumulate water in your hands before cleaning one foot...it takes... More

We spent one night in ECONO LODGE in Dar Es Salaam where we had a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I explain : in the morning after having breakfast in the main room I did the check out with the manager and paid the room, then I came back to the room to pick up my stuff and when I came down... More

My room was on the 3rd floor and was really quiet, clean and basic. Single woman traveling alone, I felt comfortable and safe there. My room had two single beds, a nice ceiling fan, A/C that worked very well, a wardrobe without a lock (didn't use it anyway), a desk, and the bathroom. No mosquito nets, but also no mosquitoes.... Very big, clean rooms with bathroom and small balcony. Only problem was no mosquito nets. Location is great, small walk from ferry ports and dalla dalla stops. Breakfast wasn't great - think our papaya had gone off. But other than that it's great for the price and much better than other budget accommodation we tried in Dar
