Peter V, Owner at Maison Arabesque, responded to this review

Thanks for your review Hitoe. As the owner of the house you stayed in I just have to respond because your story is sooo far from the truth. You arrived not just after midnight but at 3.00 AM. Mohamed picked you up and yes you had to pay 50 dirhams more because the rate after midnight is different. Normal I...

The first thing to know about staying here is that it is truly a guest house. It feels like staying in someone's house more so than a hotel or even a B&B. That being said - it is a gorgeous house, and if the prospect of sharing a house with a few other people doesn't bother you, it feels somewhat...

Peter was a very accommodating and helpful host! The house is elegantly appointed throughout, with fresh flowers and beautiful touches in every room. The endless series of roof decks is not to be missed. Our room was spacious and perfectly clean... And very quiet! We would recommend the house to anyone!

We stayed at Peter’s place in Tangier for two nights around new years-eve. This was without doubt the best place we stayed on our trip through Spain and Morocco. His house is discreetly located in the middle of the old medina, near the sea and the Grand Socco, and the more modern streets above. It is a renovated old house...

My friend and I very much enjoyed our stay at Maison Arabesque. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated and the room was comfortable. The owner was exceptionally helpful and delightful, from meeting our taxi at arrival, to giving us good recommendations for restaurants, to just chatting with us over breakfast – he made the experience in Tangier that much more special....

My friend and I recently stayed 3 nights at Maison Arabesque and had a delightful experience. While it is located in the bustling medina, it is still perfectly situated just a tad off a side street allowing one to be a part of it all, without being directly in the thick of the main merchant streets. The house is beautiful...

We've just returned from four nights at this pretty little hotel - in the centre of the Medina but hidden away in a quiet street. It has been carefully restored to a high level of comfort yet at the same time retaining an authentic foreign feel, unusual these days with so many modern hotels on offer. Everything works, and the...

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our 2 nights at Maison Arabesque - if you want an authentic Medina experience right in the heart of the hubbub centre - in a beautifully restored property this is ideal. This is a true oasis of peace and tranquility in the centre of the bustling Medina. The cool interior is so welcoming after the heat of the crowds outside. I used the double room on the second floor with an en-suite shower room and the lovely terrace and I felt totally at home. Peter, your host, could not be more...
