My partner and I visited the hotel as part of a walking holiday, the rooms were very small and poorly furnished, the bathroom was lit by two small ceiling lights that offered no illumination to the shower, the shower head sprayed any way other than onto you, breakfast consisted of cold boiled eggs, jam and either soggy or hard bread,...

For Marrakech the Hotel Akabar is satisfactory - has the basics you need - a little dated in decor - food is adequate ( breakfast has a good selection) - close to the souk ( within walking distance) - sleeping with an open window is not advisable as the noise from the streets is very loud and goes into the...

Stayed for 5 nights with family. This hotel is good if you just need a bed and a roof over your head. If you are looking for something more luxurious you ought to look elsewhere. Having said that, I cannot fault their service as they were helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily and breakfast was standard nothing great. The hotel is...

Recently stayed in the Hotel Akabar for 4 nights. The room was a decent size for two people with basic amenities. About 15-20 minute walk to the main square but be aware you do have to cross some busy roads. There is a large supermarket located about 5 minutes up the road. If you don't fancy going to the square...

Air con was very noisy, so kept that switched off. Room comfy and clean, bathroom fine. Foyer / lounge / bar very smoky at...

The day clerk called Ebrahim was extremely helpful and hospitable. Nice pool, good location where you can walk to the square and is also amidst a better\modern...
