I had a few days spare and itchy feet. Marrakech had always beckoned but I had never been before. I booked through British Airways so was hoping that this riad and its area would live up to expectations. I struggled to find a taxi at the airport, it's a scrum with everyone shouting. Finally I got one (half the original...

I booked Riad Altair on the BA website. The staff were brilliant to the extent that Abdel ( the manager) helped me book a last minuet trip to the Atlas Mountains that really enhanced my trip. Breakfast offered a good choice and was brought out whenever you were ready. The Riad itself was very well kept and offered a number...

Marrakesh itself did not suit us at all, but the Riad Altair was excellent - a quiet oasis in a busy and sometimes not very friendly town. The staff were very professional and friendly and the food was excellent - we ate there each evening, initially to avoid the hassle of finding somewhere in the Medina, but then for the...

I would like to Thank Abdel, Yasin and the whole staff at Raid Altair for their welcoming and kind hospitality. Although our stay was short we felt at home in your hotel and cannot express our gratitude enough. We hope to join you again in the future if Allah wills. To get straight to the point Marrakech wasn't for us, however, this wonderful Riad on the north west corner of the Medina provided nothing but professionalism, warmth, peace and hospitality we craved after braving those crazy streets. Just six rooms, all spacious, cool and beautifully decorated, the Riad is perfectly placed for dashes in to the souks or a stroll...

We had a superior room, on the ground floor (Altair), the decor was simple and the bed really comfortable (if you like a hard mattress, which I swear by!). Because it is a Riad, if you have a room on the ground floor it means that you are next door to the patio/breakfast/dinner area, which is very handy but also...

My family and I spent a fabulous four nights at the Riad Altair as we savoured the sights and sounds of Marrakech. We based our choice on previous Trip Advisor comments and were not disappointed. All the booking procedures were handled professionally by Abdel, who also arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport (highly recommended), as...

Pros: good location and great staff. Cons: - misleading promotional photos. We booked the Superior room for the big bath tub. Unfortunately the hot water tank is not big enough to fill more than 1/5 of the bath tub so unless you enjoy cold baths - don't bother. We spoke to the staff about this and the owner of the...

This is a beautiful accommodation. We arranged collection from the airport which went smoothly. We had a meal on our first evening and it was delicious. They organised a trip to the Atlas Mountains which I would recommend. There is also a hammam around the corner which is worth a visit-book first! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful riad with wonderfully friendly staff. Abdel was great from the moment we booked our room and helped to arrange an airport pickup and dinner the evening we arrived, which was a welcome relief after traveling from Singapore to London and London to Marrakech within a 24-hour period. We stayed in the Syrius room, which was clean and spacious -...
