The riad is very beautiful with tastefully designed interior. The staff was very very friendly and the breakfast was delicious with homemade jam, fruit, bread and yogurt. We felt very much at home. The manager gave us a nice overview of the city and told us about good places for dinner and made suggestions for what to see in the...

The website doesn't do justice to this lovely little Riad. Located right in the heart of the walled city, you will find yourself navigating the labyrinth of tiny streets as you arrive and leave for the day. Francoise is the perfect host, providing everything needed to make the most of your stay. If you don't travel light, I would suggest...

I spent three nights at Riad Safa with my grown-up daughter . We both thought that the Riad was so stylish and well run, Francoise and her staff were delightful and helpful. We had supper there which was the best food we ate in Marreckech. The breakfasts on the roof terrace were delicious. We can t recommend it highly enough.

Riad Safa is even more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures. But, looks aren't everything. When I arrived, I walked straight into a chaotic scene of about 30 people running around inside. There is a cooking school that uses the riad six days a week. If that sounds good to you, then stay here. But, if you...

Thank you so much for your appreciation of the look of Riad Safa. For the rest of your comment it's very obvious that you spend just a few hours in the late afternoon and a very short night in Safa. Let me tell you that... We host just from time to time a cooking course in Safa, mainly on demand...

This is the second time that we stayed with Frédéric & Jean-Michel at Riad Safa. We went back a second time to show my brother Marrakech on our way to the Atlas Mountains and they really made sure we all felt at home. The Riad is beautifully decorated and a very pleasant space. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have...

During our 5 day stay in the Riad Safa the high expectations created by reading the favourable review were fully realised. The riad was lovely in every way and the service impeccable. Francoise and Abdul were unfailingly helpful and considerate. Francoise arranged for us to be picked up from the airport and Abdul walked us to the riad. We highly...

There is a lot of choice when it comes to picking a Riad in the Medina but you will not be dissapointed by Safa. Excellent welcoming service, we were provided with maps and advised on landmarks to look for as markers. The old town is crazy and it was a bit of a shock to the system as i felt...

I couldn't have been more impressed with our stay at the Riad Safa. Francois is such a friendly, welcoming lady and put so much effort into helping us feel comfortable and helping in all ways she could. As two young women we were a little nervous of travelling in Morocco but she quickly made us feel at ease and gave...

My trip started with four airports, three continents, two airlines, one haircut all in twenty-five hours. Now after all that I needed something calming and relaxing. I was not to be disappointed. After exiting customs in Marrakesh we easily found our pre-arranged driver who lead us to a comfortable mini van that brought us into the old section of the...

There are so many riads in Marrakech, it's hard to know which to choose! We were glad we picked Riad Safa. It was beautifully decorated and well maintained by the lovely staff. The roof terrace was an oasis at the beginning and end of every crazy day (lovely to be able to buy a cold beer here - it's not...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome at Riad Safa, a true haven of peace in the exciting Medina of Marrakesh.Riad Safa is located in one of the last authentic parts of the old city (medina), with some of the major cultural institutions just around the corner, and ten minutes by foot from the famous Jemaa el Fna square.Safa means serenity or pureness in Arabic, and it is our aim to provide you with a feeling of pure wellness during the longer or shorter time you stay with us. The atmosphere therefore, is very quiet. Even at the moments that the Imam of the neighbouring Mosque spreads his prayers over us; then you feel the mistery of the East and the presence of the languorous city.We speak English, French and Dutch and we love to help with everything you would want to be assisted with; whether it is a transfer from or to the airport, the booking of an excursion, or to have you accompanied safely home through the myriad of narrow alleys by our helpfull staff, after a 1001-night dinner in the medina. We want you to feel comfortable, and at home with us.Affordable luxury, that is what we want to offer you.Marrakesh is a bustling and buzzy city, so it is nice to know that after a tiring day of shopping in the souks (covered markets) or a visit to one of the palaces, you can immerse yourself in the lovely quiet of our Riad, and relax in one of the intimate "salons" or, during spring and summer, cool down at the small rooftop pool with a dewy glass. At night we offer a delicious "table d'hotes" in a romantic setting on the roofterrace, or indoors, just as you prefer.In-house hammam & wellness • we have a small hammam on the rooftopterrace, which you can book• on demand we can arrange for scrubs, massage, facials, pedicure and manicure. ... more   less
