Friendly, relaxed, clean with delicious breakfasts. This place feels homelike - with no books of rules or set times for things like breakfast or checkout. Staff leave you to do your own thing but are there to help with a smile when needed. One gotcha - you need to pay in cash which we weren't warned about - so save...

I have just returned from a wonderful week at this riad - run by ever helpful host Youssef and his English wife, Annabella. As you enter the courtyard, the smell of orange blossom hits you - it is green and peaceful and a wonderful place to escape the heat and the chaos that is the medina. At night, it and...

We had a really nice stay in the RIad- 6 nights. The staff were friendly and the room was nice but the terrace was definitely the best feature- it was great to go and relax up there after the manicness of the city outside. The location was pretty good, although it was very easy to get lost as its like...

Hiding behind a nondescript door in the north of the Medina is this lovely little riad. Simple but nicely thought through rooms eg local furniture and rugs; scrupulously clean; nice fluffy towels; breakfast in the pretty courtyard whenever you're ready for it; friendly and helpful staff; and a roof terrace complete with resident tortoise. Who could ask for more? Make...

The unassuming entrance that leads to a lovely, peaceful, clean and traditional riad with aromas of jasmin will please you immediately. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and sheets and towels changed daily. The breakfast of juices, various homemade pancakes and delicious jam will keep you going for hours. The "swimming pool" is an unnecessary folly and takes up valuable dining space. The...

Loved my stay here. The riad is on Rue el Gza in the Northern Medina, just a couple of minutes from the grand taxi departure point by Bab Moussafa so it's easy to get to. We were met at the airport by a taxi sent from the riad so no hassle getting there from the airport. The rooms are spotlessly...

My husband and I booked this riad though the Lonely Plant website a few weeks before we travelled. We wanted an authentic riad experience; simple, comfortable and local without an impersonal hotel feel. We found El-Sagaya to offer all this and more We really enjoyed staying at El-Sagaya. Yousef and his staff are friendly and helpful, both Yousef and Yassim...

Just got back from Morocco. The Riad El Sagaya was amazing. Beautiful interior courtyard with small swimming pool. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Excellent breakfast. 10 minute walk from the souks and Djemma Fna. Highly recommended.

The staff at Riad El-sagaya were extreemly helpfull and professional from the initial booking process to when we arrived. They recommened a cheaper alternative to a desert tour we were planning, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday, as well as arranging transport to and from the airport for our large group. They even recommended...

I was a little apprehensuve given the last reviewers mention of overbooking but I really needn't have worried. We were met promptly at the airport and treated really well once at the Riad. Our room was lovely, not huge admittedly but certainly not cramped and we had a traditional style ensuite with a shower. The place was spotless and it...
