We were amazed at the quality of this riad. We were picked up at the airport at 11:30pm which is a must at this time of night, and had our bags carried through the dark narrow streets right to the front door. As soon as you walk in it feels like you have entered a palace and you are treated...

Stayed here 4 nights at Easter. Was picked up at the airport, and arrived a nice, clean Riad. Really good price, not too expensive, but still really nice. Good food, friendli and helpful staff. Perfect location, 5 min from the big square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, but still quite and no noise. Nice terrace with chairs to enjoy the sun, but the...

wonderfully peaceful in spite of the very central location, 3 minutes away from jamaa al fna square. staff absolutely wonderful, obliging and friendly. they took care of the little one while we were away, offered to accompany us during their free time to help us haggle in less touristic shops, and went out to buy lemon juice for the grandmother...

Like many Riads in the Medina, this place is hard to find when you arrive; you need to walk along a narrow street packed with shops, turn off a side street (marked "Casa Lala"), then several twists and turns later (thankfully with no turn-offs) you find an large unmarked wooden door that is the hotel. Random punters acting as guides...

The riad is just a few minutes walk from the main square, right in the heart of the medina. Don't be put off by the narrow twisty street you walk down to get to the riad - there are no turn offs, so it's actually pretty easy to find your way back. Like many of the riads, from outside there's...

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay here. It has a perfect location, only a short walk will get you to Jemaa El Fnaa. The staff were very helpful despite having difficulty in communicating in English. Youssef gave some good tips and even helped us buying bus ticket to Essaouira. Would love to stay here again in the future.

A superbly located small and comfortable (5 bedroom) Riad with the Jemaa El Fna and major Palaces and Souk all within 3 - 10 minutes walk. Beautifully decorated and well apportioned room, with the most friendly, welcoming and helpful staff I have ever met - truly nothing was too much trouble for them. The two sitting rooms and roof top...

Dar Sohane is a small riad laid out traditionally around a courtyard with a fountain and tree. It is decorated in beautiful moroccan style, and provides a peaceful and homely atmosphere right in the heart of the Medina, down some winding alleyways, 5 minutes walk from Jemaa El Fna. Once you've done the walk a couple of times it's easy...

A great Riad with everything you need and just a 5 min walk from Djemaa el Fna square. A tranquille place with great service and good breakfast. Jacuzzi and sunbeds on the rooftop, a welcomming lounge at the first floor and a shady courtyard with an orangetree and a fountain on the groundfloor. What else do you need....oh yeah, the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Dar Sohane is a haven of peace and tranquility in the heart of the famous 'Riad Zitoune' district; District that connects the Djemaa El Fna Square (200m from the riad) to the Bahia and Badi Palaces and the Kasbah (3 to 4 minutes walk from the riad). After crossing the front door and crossing the vaulted hall, you will discover the centerpiece of the riad; The patio, with its central fountain, which was built in Arab-Andalusian style. This patio is a well of light where the rays of the sun are reflected against the white walls and the columns in tadelakt sand color. For your stay, you have the choice between 6 rooms (4 suites and 2 rooms) of different styles. These 6 styles are all inspired by the art, culture and traditions of the country. The decoration of each room was reflected and carried out according to the theme or style of the room. Whether in the early afternoon or at the end of the day, we invite you to enjoy our beautiful terrace located on the roof of the riad. You can sunbathe, relax in the jacuzzi or relax away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Looking forward to welcoming you to Dar Sohane, ... more   less
