I'm not sure what other people expect of Marrakeshi Riads - maybe they expect the clinical precision of yet another soulless western hotel; the same as every other western hotel anywhere in the world. That might explain some of the other reviews here. This Riad was clean, fairly well located (walking distance) to all the sights, provided breakfast and WiFi...

We stayed at this Riad for 7 nights and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the Riad is perfectly placed to explore Marrakech. I would recommend booking the airport transfer via the Riad as it is quite diffcult to find (down some alleyways) when you first arrive. The Riad has...

stayed Dec 16 - 22nd and had a great time here. Stopping in this riad is a great way to experience the city. It's not like a modern hotel, it's down a dark alley (derb means dead-end street) which was initially very scary to us but after a few days you realise it's very safe and the only people that...

We stayed at the Riad Barroko in October and are currently in a dispute with the travel agency to get our money back! The riad is nothing like it's website. Dirty, tiny rooms, insects crawling on the floor and beds, filthy shower, leaking sink the list goes on and on. The cleaning and kitchen staff were kind enough but the...

I travelled with a friend to Marrakech and we Loved it. The fact that our hotel was a little sanctury really helped. This riad is located in the medina and is walking distance to everything inside. (We also walked to the YSL garden) There is no TV in the room The staff are super friendly and leave you to lounge...

We were in Marrakech for the first time and spent four nights at Riad Barroko. Being on a short city break we wanted somewhere pleasant to stay and conveniently located, which is what we got. The Riad is very quaint and the staff were all very helpful (Simon particularly helped with suggestions of what to do and no sign of...

We stayed in Riad Barroko for three nights and had a great time. There's a small pool in the courtyard that in refreshing in the summer. The rooms have AC and are well-decorated. The staff was very helpful in arranging a rental car and giving directions. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend the hotel.

Beautiful riad, great location. My only gripe would be that the service was not quite as good as some of the orther riads we stayed in - but the location and decor can't be beat.

Would highly recommend a stay here. 10 mins walk from the square.
