We had a fabulous couple of days in this gorgeous riad in the medina walls of Marrakech! Located through a magical door in the side of a tunnel it really does feel like you're venturing into a secret garden! It is close enough to the market area of the medina to walk there, but far enough away to be peaceful. Beautifully furnished rooms surround the green leafy courtyard, and there are plenty of cosy seating areas to chill out and read a book while the bird sing to you. We were wonderfully looked after by Khadija with mint tea on our arrival, fabulous breakfasts and a delicious tagine dinner one night. Our children (aged 12, 11 and 8) loved it here and were made to feel very welcome... they even joined in a game of football with some of the local kids nearby! We'd definitely stay here again if we're lucky enough to return to Morocco! More

We stayed 4 nights in this fantastic, quiet riad in the northern medina of Marrakech. It's a bit difficult to find, but it's close tot Bab Tarzout-gate.

The riad itself is outstanding, with very welcoming people. We stayed in rooms 1001 night, Nomade and Oasis (40 and 45 euro per night per room) Because one room was double booked, we got a free upgrade to the 1001-night room, which was fantastic!

The location of this riad is in a very poor part of the medina. You'll have to walk about 30 minutes to Djemnaa el Fnaa square. At first we were a little shocked, about all the beggars you see near Bab Tarzout, but you get used to it after a while.
We had dinner at the riad only once, and compared to the price and quality, it's only average food for a high price, so you better eat somewhere else for dinner.

You should go here for the ambience and affordable rooms, less for the location or for the dinner.
Great hospitality though.....
Very clean rooms and...
