We were a bit worried about Marrakech after reading all the stress-stories. Fortunatly, our experience was great! And the 'Coq Fou' was a big contribution to that experience. A great terrace, very friendely staff (who adoured our little daughter), we felt at home here.

It was our 15th wedding anniversary and we bought a cheapie flight from Ryanair to take us to Marrakesh for a few days. Elisabetta and Barbara Galanti and their staff who have renovated this wonderful old house with its courtyard deep inside the city's winding alleyways, have created an oasis of friendly, informal civilisation. From the moment the housekeeper met us as we got out of the shuttlebus, we were totally looked after in this delightful riad. Because of the narrowness of the streets in the medina we had to walk a short distance through stalls and vendors to get to Le Coq Fou. What an introduction to Marrakech!!! Fantastic.
