I read all the bad reviews and still booked this hotel due it's location and how lovely the gardens and pool area looked in the pictures. They do look nice, but the rooms do not look like the pictures. All the bad reviews were correct, the service was terrible at the front desk. No welcome, no map about the local...

2nd Time in Marrakech, 1st time we stayed in a Riad so we opted for a hotel as we were women in a group of 4. The location is great, jut behind the The Koutoubia Mosque, this meant we couldn't get lost as you can't miss it towering above the city. The hotel is Typically French, we were the only...

Hotel Chems has a Perfect location. Short distance to everything to see in Marrakech. Marocco is suitable for French People. Too bad, since it is a beautiful country. Just a few people speek English. Service at the hotel was not good. The big problem was Language skills. And were is all the females? The service at the hotel restaurant was...

I read the reviews and still i booked.......Some staff were able to speak in English, others were not at all interested in communicating with us being British we certainly were 2nd class citizens to the French. Reception staff were the worse and did not explain anything at all on arrival, when meal times were, price of buffet nothing at all....

Staff speaks French, but majority of them could not communicate in English. 3 out of 4 light bulbs in our room were not working on the day of arrival. The breakfast was horrible and no matter at what time you get to the dining room, some items are missing. I gave some clothes for washing and they smelled horribly afterwards....

Oh Chems, let me count the ways in which you are disappointing: 1: poorly trained staff 2: dirty rooms 3: aging technology and poorly maintained (door locks malfunctioning and about as "safe" as a piece of string) 4: Food. Uh... oh please, let's just not talk about it. Just go somewhere else. Even if you don't have to pay for...

As mentioned by most others, the location is fantastic. You really are in the heart of the medina in 15 minutes by either walking straight up the street or walking through the Koutoubia gardens. the street id well lit if walking back late at night and we always felt really safe. The city tour bus stops directly across the road...

After reading some bad reviews on this hotel I wasn't sure what to expect but I decided to book it anyway as there was no other hotel available in this location at the price that would suit me so I was prepared for the worst. I have booked my room thru booking.com and upon arrival I was told that they...
