We absolutely loved our stay in Dar Iman. Not only was our room clean, large and decorated lovely, the owners Max and Kawtar made us feel very welcomed. Max went out of his way to give us guides, advice on restaurants and helpful information about Fes. Its a nice feeling to stay somewhere where the owners actually enjoy your company...

We were a group of 8 friends who had never travelled together and planned to travel to Fez. I chose Dar Iman as we wanted to stay in a traditional Riyaad and as I took responsibility for organising this I wanted to ensure we got what we wanted for a fair price and Dar Iman was more than we could...

Max and Kawtar provide the perfect location and atmosphere for exploring Fes. The beautifully restored rooms and their knowledge and contacts within the local restaurants and services made for a fabulous relaxing get away!

Thanks to Max & Kawtar - we had such a lovely stay and were ever so well cared for by you both. It was our first time in Fez and you pointed us in the right direction, looked after us, fed us and provided a lovely place to stay. The riad is beautiful, clean and comfortable - we ended up...

Only stayed here one night, but plan on staying again (I live just 'down the road' in Meknes). Really enjoyed the company of Max (a fellow antipodean; he is Australian, I am from NZ). Max gave my family and friends lots of local advice (arrange a trip to a local hammam, among other things). Basically I look forward to staying...

It's hard to pinpoint my favourite thing about staying at Dar Iman. Max and Kawtar were absolutely fantastic hosts. Max is an Aussie with a fascinating story who went totally out of his way to make my stay excellent. So much so that he got up at 4am to make sure I get my breakfast before I left for my...

Having read all of the reviews, we were eager to stay with Max and Kawtar at Dar Iman. Unfortunately they were on holiday during our stay and the dar was staffed by a lady who didn't speak any English, could offer little assistance to Fes first-timers) and seemed to host many friends and family downstairs over the time of our...

The owner is Australian so it was nice to chat with him about the culture from a Western perspective. He went out of his way when I told him I would like to get a picture of myself with a Fes on. I didn't want to buy one so it seemed I would have to get into a big negotiation....

Fes was our last stop in Morocco after Marrakech, Essaouira and Rabat. So it was a very pleasant surprise when we arrived at Dar Iman to be warmly greeted by a fellow Aussie Max and his lovely wife Kawtar. In fact it felt like coming home. The Riad is gorgeous but what makes this place stand out over others is...
