Amongst the ‘Dar’s we had stayed in different cities around the country, Dar Roumana is no doubt the best restored and most beautiful traditional Moroccan courtyard house of surprising cleanliness. After an adventurous arrival in Fez life suddenly became more serene, beautiful and delicious! We had arrived at Dar Roumana. Vanessa and her partner Vincent run a very organized, friendly and breathtakingly beautiful riad, but the calm and effortless help and advice is priceless. Who...More

It's a short walk from the nearest gate to Dar Roumana. The gates having parking lots, though I'm sure you have to pay someone to keep an eye on the car. If you have a cell you'll be set as you can call the Dar to alert them of your arrival. If you don't it could be problematic as nothing is easy to find on your first entrance into the medina. Vanessa is terrific, alert her to your plans and I'm sure she'll help you figure it all out. ENJOY!
