Entering this riad was like stepping into a fairytale. The décor is breathtaking! Because our visit was in low season, we got a free upgrade to a stunning suite. Omar was an amazing host and really funny and kind. I enjoyed every moment in the riad, simply taking in the surroundings!

Everything was great about our experience at this riad. From the warm welcome with tea and cookies, the amazingly beautiful riad, to our fantastic room. The service was amazing, and the delicious breakfast was served beautifully. We had dinner there the first night and it was delicious as well. I would definitely go back to Riad Al Bartal, and totally...

This riad offers very spacious rooms that are elegantly decorated as one would expect in Morocco -- walls with hand painted tiles and carvings, charming accents and a common room full of greenery. The wonderfully accommodating staff waited up for us even though we arrived late and they were still able to serve us the dinner we had ordered in...

From the very first moment you step into this beautiful Riad your vision, heart and soul is trapped by the magical atmosphere of the courtyard. Stepping in from the small door you immediately switch from the tense fast pace of medina to the peaceful heavenly garden of the Al Bartal interior. Definitely the photos in booking.com and other websites cannot...

We got there a bit late after dark but it was no problem finding the Riad. Omar greeted us and offered us some refreshing mint tea and house made cookies, both of which were delicious! He speaks great English and also provided us with good info regarding the medina and places to see. The Riad itself is very beautiful and...

Reception with tea and cookies. In a simply beauriful riad, close to one of the fourteen gates in the medinawall. Covered and 24/24 guarded parking 50 meters away. Omar and his crew (including a whistling parrot) make you feel welcome and at home in the same time. The room was beautiful, yet a little bit noisy (in the early afternoon...

Ideal place to escape the bustle and crowds of Fez. Staff is 100% trustworthy, the hotel is secure, and there is a general air of scrupulousness and integrity in their dealings. Example - I forgot my credit card. They contacted me immediately. I asked them to destroy the card, they did that and even sent me an email picture of...

A very quaint, rustic courtyard style riad in a bit awkward location. Service was friendly and often very inefficient, never fast. Breakfast was good, very carb filled. I would much rather have spent just $30 or so more for one if the newer hotels like Barcelo in between new and old town. No TVs, pool or other amenities you expect...I...

The staff of Riad Al Bartal are chilled out people who understand the stresses that affect even the most worldly of us travellers when going to a new place. Omar was able to assist us on several occasions when our plans unravelled and this contributed significantly to our being able to enjoy Fes. The Riad has a palatial feel to...

A wonderful place to stay with fantastic dinners every night & excellent service. It means "House of Birds" and has its own resident grey parrot who entertains with a variety of whistles & clucks. Dining is in a lovely courtyard full of greenery. On the rooftop there are attractive pots and places to sit but the only access is by...
