The staff at Dar Othmane were very welcoming, which was comforting since I was traveling alone. The Dar is lovely, the roof top terrace has wonderful views, and the room was nice. Though it was a bit tricky to find, the location is very quiet and the staff were very helpful to suggest some destinations around Fes. I would definitely...

This dar is in a great location near the hustle and bustle of Tala'a Kabir and Tala'a Saghir, and near the Ain Zlatin car park. It was lovelingly restored and decorated, and has a fantastic view of the Merinide tombs and surrounding mountains. Manager Hicham is a real Fassi and can give good sightseeing and eating tips. Ideal for anyone...

It is a very well restored typical moroccan house strategically emplaced in the center of medina. Easy to find within the narrow streets, it has charm, it is calm, and very well managed by the people in charge. The rooms are very confortable, clean and well decored likewise the bathroom inside. The terrace in the roof allows a wonderful view...

Dar Othmane is a charming guesthouse traditionally and beautifully restored and nestled in the heart of the old Medina of Fes, Morocco. The house is more than 300 years old and features walls of polished tadelakt, original cedar wood beamed ceilings and doors which have been restored beautifully. All the furniture has been made by local craftsmen. The central courtyard is decorated with ornate zellig tiles and is a perfect place to relax after exploring the old Medina and it’s alleyways and small streets. Iraq glass has been placed in all the windows for peace and privacy, and warmth in the winter months when the evenings can be a little cooler. The roof terrace with its panoramic views of the Medina and the surrounding hills is the perfect haven, whether you want to enjoy the sun or read in the shade. It’s offering moments of intmiacy, relaxation and meetings between the guests. Its an ideal place to spend your evenings watching the sun go down, whilst you wine and dine under the African sky.Dar Othmane is located in the heart of the Medina yet easily accessible from the main street Talaa Kebira. It’s just a 10 minutes walk to “Bab Boujiloud”, the beautiful blue gate which is the main entry to the oldest Medina of the world. Just around the corner you can discover the souk with its hundreds of market stalls selling spices, vegetables, carpets, pottery and beautiful fabrics.
