This Riad is absolutely perfect. A haven of peace, very quiet, the pool is fantastic, and the staff is very friendly. This place is very impressive and I'm m really elated to have been there. I think I have never found such a comfortable and pleasant hotel. I'll definitely go back

Bliss. A very big thank you to Loubna for all her help before we arrived at the Riad, responding promptly to emails and arranging transport. The buildings are gorgeous. It was like sleeping in a palace. The pool and the garden setting is beautiful. A special mention to the gardener who was always working in the garden, as well as being... More

This swimming pool is amazing! It is worth the visit (price: 150 dhs), the swimming pool is big and you can use the lounge chairs and big umbrellas and you even get a towel from the Riad Alkantara. It is quiet, you hear the birds singing, peaceful, very easy to find and very well located (5 minutes from Batha). There... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in the Jardin de Roses room. She said it was like staying in a palace and she was right. The Riad opens out from an unassuming door into a substantial riad with a lovely swimming pool, great terraces and incredible rooms. The room we had had an incredibly high, ornate ceiling,... More

Walking through the door into this Riad was liken to entering heaven. Spectacular historical architecture that is in pristine condition. Staff were inviting, kind, and very helpful. Meals were delicious traditional Moroccan fare. This Riad was very much needed after a camel trek, overnight in the desert and eight hour drive to Fes. We were able to relax, enjoy the... More

We stayed in Riad Alkantara. So so beautiful garden and terraces, everything is overwhelming....The staff is really very nice and even bring us to a restaurant in the medina so we couldn't be totally lost in the labyrinth of the 9000 streets of the medina. If you ever doubt to go to this riad...I will say go!

We were recommended to stay at Riad Alkantara by our hosts at our previous stop. We were met at the outside wall of the Medina by a porter who swiftly took off with our bags and deposited them in our room before we had barely arrived. The Riad consisted of five separate houses around an extensive garden and pool. Four... More

We stayed in the Alkantara 11th-15th May . The Riad is beautiful, well positioned in a quiet part of the Medina but within easy walking distance of most of the attractions and good restaurants. Our room was fantastic, clean and peaceful. The pool was amazing and most of the time it was only us using it. The staff were friendly... More

I want to have my wedding here one day! That should probably say enough about how beautiful I think Riad Alkantara is! We literally felt like we were sleeping in a museum or a palace that could be a major tourist attraction, except we had it all to ourselves! The attention to detail in restoring this 17th century riad that... More

We stayed in this riad on Dec 27th - 30th 2014. Our room was great. Very spacious with a fantastic tall ceiling, nice comfortable bathroom. Breakfast was good and the the ladies catering us were very polite and helpful. The first night we had dinner at the riad's restaurant. Complete rip-off. They charge 300Dirhams per person for a poor set... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Alkantara is an exceptional location within the walls of the medieval city of Fes; it is a hidden enchantment in the heart of a shaded area surrounded by 5 riads of different periods and architectural styles that have been restored with patience and passion to unite modern comfort and the splendours of the past in an exquisite alchemy. The garden has a vast swimming pool surrounded by greenery and supplied with pure spring water, there are many fountains and patios, where you can relax and listen to the birds soothing singing. At nightfall the delicate light breeze from the Atlas Mountains highlights the assorted fragrances of musk, jasmine and honeysuckle. The oriental sweetness and delicacy is revealed. In the vein of Italian theatre, the esplanades located at various levels are very well adapted to all types of events, whether cultural, artistic or just for amusement. Riad Alkantara also has its lounge bar and smoking area on a shaded terrace, a restaurant where cuisine inspired from all over the world is served, traditional Moroccan cuisine which is served in the guest dining room, a shop selling traditional Moroccan clothes and decorative items ... more   less
