I was in Algiers sometime in August 2016, I know this is a late review. Hotels in Algiers are a challenge, Tourism is not that great.

Stayed at El Aurassi during a business trip to Algiers. Very nice hotel, spacious and attractive rooms, many overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. El Daq Dag restaurant on premises served very good Algerian cuisine, with to an indoor dining room and large outdoor balcony. Very filling...More

Maybe the best Hotel in Alger? Good rooms, clean bathrooms and excellent breakfast, nice and clean premises. Good restaurants and nice view to the Mediterranean sea. Good parking area. Very professional persons all who are working on hotel.

It does have an exec floor and lounge, but it did not seem in use, seems they only open it for government dignitaries and so on. The outside exec balcony was so disused and un cared for that bird droppings could be found on... More
It does have an exec floor and lounge, but it did not seem in use, seems they only open it for government dignitaries and so on. The outside exec balcony was so disused and un cared for that bird droppings could be found on all the outdoor tables and chairs.
Sofitel might be a better bet, read their review.
El Aurassi is a nice spacious hotel, but it's not a european 5* hotel, so you may need to adjust.
