It's a 5-star on the hotel presentation but the service is not even a 2-star hotel. Acceptable for chek-in and check-out in the evening and at night, but you clearly annoy them if you want to stay during the day. Impossible to find a table to work and the staff will make sure you do not find one.

El Aurassi is an hotel for international travelers. It is really nice. Rooms are large, with two bathrooms (one for the toilet and one for the shower/bath). There are large balconies from which (at least from my room) you can sip a glass of Algerian wine and enjoy the amazing sunset on the port. Breakfast is good... actually not amazing,...

Expensive hotel but poor service. Cashier cannot even correctly invoice even with the help of a calculator makes mistakes. Room service is slow and inconsistent . Personnel argue with clients and find excuse for non delivering quality. No douchette in toilets. No taxis.

When I look forward from my window I was overwhelmed by the astonishing view. Rooms are very nice. Terrace also very nice for a coffee or a drink. I cannot tell this about breakfasts and food served on reception level which is simply unreadable. Not deserve 5 stars.

The El Aurassi Hotel is in the heart of Algiers overlooking the city and the harbor. Rooms on the upper floors provide spectacular views. The hotel is on its own separate hill with a long driveway which is guarded so that no vehicle can get close to the hotel structure. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. There are several high...

I've often been staying at the El Aurassi when visiting Algiers. When I first stayed there about 10 years ago, it was government run and still stuck in the 70s in terms of décor and furnishings - I remember the orange and brown ceramic colour scheme and having a tube TV with a wooden cabinet in the room! It was...

The location is nice and close to the commercial area (20 min walking). Lobby is upscale, huge and has some of french luxury brands boutiques. The hotel has nice restaurants that are worth to try specially El Daqdaq. The staff are very friendly specially the concierge are very helpful. The cafe in the lobby is nice and you have to...

This is a large hotel with a sizeable if bland boutique set of shops. Cafe areas not suited to business clients who want to sit with laptops and meet over coffees. Low coffee tables are pointless for business. Executive floor highly under utilised. Would benefit from using the under-utilised space with a more western business focussed approach, e.g. get Starbucks...

I attended a wedding and had dinner here. The facility is beautiful and the views are gorgeous especially on the terrace, but the service needs improvement. There is also a nice traditional restaurant in this hotel.
