If you get the chance to stay here, take it! It is a truly amazing place to stay in an amazing location. The river is roaring right next to your room but in a comforting way. I did the zipline tour which was really fun. Our guide showed us all these plants you could taste and eat, we even ate...

Rafting was awesome, everything we had expected from it; it hadn’t rained a lot, so the river was not super wild. Rafts were in good condition, transport also in good condition. We felt welcomed very well as a large group of 12 persons, we could raft all together in one run which was fun. The reception with lunch and coffee...

Highly reccomend!! The hotel is beautiful and situated on a stunning river, which you can swim in when the water is low. Stayed in the dorm room which was large and comfortable, although no fan. Food was very good. We went White Water Rafting which was incredible and great fun. The guides were fantastic and really look after us. All...

I recently stayed there with a handful of friends from Utila. They picked us up at the ferry in La Ceiba, brought us to the lodge and immediately greeted us on arrival. The rafting trip: The river was a bit slower then usual, given it's not quite rainy season yet - however it was still flowing enough for a great...

After a horrific travel day before arriving at Jungle River Lodge to go on their rafting tour it was great to see such a lovely treehouse style hostel to stay in. The rooms were big and beds were clean. Ended up staying here for an extra two days as the location on the river was just spectacular! The owners made...

Everyone should go to Honduras, and once there, get to Jungle River Lodge. Comfort, good food, great hosts, swimming, ziplining, hiking, rafting and wonderful views. We were met at the ferry dock at La Ceiba (having spent a wonderful week in Utila); Dennis and Santos piled our luggage in the jeep and off we went, from shore to mountains in...

We stayed up the road, but walked down to Jungle River Lodge for a canopy tour and zip lining. Our two guides were safe, and knowledgeable, taking time to explain to us local flora and fauna. I didn't know they didn't take credit cards for the zip line, and offered to run back to our hotel and get cash. They...

Excellent location, very friendly staff and stunningly exciting canopy/zip line tour with very knowledgeable and professional guides. Roberto rules!! The river is beautiful. However the rooms are disgusting, run down and heavily overpriced. When visiting the 'jungle' you do not expect luxury, but you could expect a decent room. The hot water is cold, the sink is leaking, the waste...

The view from the vista is Insane!! great times on the rocks, swimming and having a blast. slept fine and had no problems. Hike YOURSELF to the giant waterfall! you don't need a guide. Its worth it. there are amazing places to swim up the river a bit. highly recommended.

There is not one thing they could have done differently to enhance my experience. The rafting itself was exciting. They had to supplement river canyoning before the rafting as it was not rain season therefore the river was low but still a blast. The guides were very knowledgable of local plants and animals and were extremely professional. The manager, Luis...

“The private rooms with the riverside windows are very comfy; beautiful combination of wooden beams and stucco with embedded stone.”

“Ask for a private room with a hot shower. Apparently they have cold shower options. If you are a hiker, get a dorm room, they are cheap. Try to get a room that faces the river. Try to get a room that is far from the bar. I heard music and voices from it at 1am.”
