This is two separate reviews. Pirates Bay Inn and Morgans Dive Center. Both are interconnected. The Pirates Bay inn is actually a hostel, but I was able to get a private room. It is expected that if you are staying at the Inn, you are diving with Captain Morgans dive centre, located on the property. My room was spacious with...

We are already certified AOWD so cannot comment the instructors or training. We did several dive trips with Pirates during our five day stay. We had a double room which was nice and clean. Great location and it was easy to get off to sea from the pier. The only thing was that the morning trips were sometimes late and...

i was just there getting my advanced diving certification and am so glad i ended up at pirates bay/captain morgan. I had initially planned to go through a different dive center, but dropped in here after my first couple of fun dives and immediately felt the vibe and people were a better fit for me. i was right--it totally changed...

One of the best places I've stayed. Clean, comfortable rooms. Hot, powerful showers. A nice little beach to sunbathe on, or out on the dock if you prefer. Kayaks you can use for free. Hammocks everywhere for chilling out. Food is delicious, with a different special for lunch and dinner. Angie and Adit (the chefs) are so friendly, and good...

I came to Utila with some friends from graduate school for spring break. Some of us got certified, while others were experienced divers and went on their own dives. I absolutely loved this place. The value was tremendous, the staff incredibly friendly, and the other guests truly kind. We opted to stay in the private room (rather than the dorm-style...

I had a difficult time deciding how to write this review, but here goes. Our room was great, the price was amazing, and the dive boat pulls right up to the dock next to the hotel. It is also conveniently located in the center of the island and just across from the health clinic and groceries, which is handy. They...

I stayed here for about a week in a private room with one of the biggest beds I have ever seen. Loads of space in the room, quiet for sleeping, AC, very good hot showers - important in Winter out here after a full day of diving - and very reasonable. A great little bar downstairs that opens early in...

I visited Utila in peak RAINY SEASON (~Nov-Feb) and STILL LOVED IT. I could not WAIT to get into the water each and every time. The reefs are beautiful. Such incredible detail on each and every cluster of corals... with hidden crabs, shrimps, brittle stars, sea horses etc. and guarded by fish of unreal color. My advice: Really explore the...

We stayed here when we started our Open Water Course at Captain Morgans, which we went on to cancel as it wasn't for us (Can't fault Captain Morgans in that, they were really great and understanding). The private double was huge, compfy beds, really clean and had decent veranda space outside - would recommend if you fancy an upgrade from...
