What can I say about Jesus and his staff? Amazing comes to mind. Not only do they go to lengths to make sure everyone has an enjoyable stay, but they also take care of their guest. I have stayed at Turquoise Bay 4 times so...More
We were very disappointed in our stay at TBR. The small bay where TBR is located has so much potential, but it is in desperate need of updating, maintenance, and good management. The pictures were better than the reality. We had booked seven days, but...More

We did not rent a car, pick up and drop off at the airport were handled perfectly by Turquoise Bay. We ate all our meals at the resort. On the last afternoon, we took a half day tour of the island with the captain of the boat we were on for the week, Pedro. The tour was excellent, it was great to be able to see most of the island while we were there, including the sleepy town where Pedro was born, went to school, and still lives.
If you have a desire to see more of the island by yourselves, eat at other restaurants, etc, it might be worth having a car for that. You might be able to arrange for a car at the resort rather than having to pick it up and return it to the airport. You could inquire. I don't think many, if any of the guests while we were there had a car.
Best of luck, enjoy your trip, Craig
