If your looking a place that is off the beaten path, check this place out. If your expecting a 4 star room, this is not the place. The place sits on water's edge, the rooms are basic. The west end of the island is more upscale bars and hotels, where most of the tourist hang out. This place is located...

This is a very cool place to visit and stay. Plusses: It's very safe and secure and right on the beach. Rooms are nice and clean and you can hear the surf as you fall to sleep. The prices are reasonable and the staff is awesome in a place where most businesses have never heard of customer service. Minuses: The...

Out of the way small resort for Scuba diving and fishing. This place has about 11 rooms and sits right on the ocean. The room could use a little face lift, but remember you only sleep there. The rest of the time you are fishing or scuba diving (it is clean). The owner Dave is very personable and is around...

I spent a very relaxing week at Reef House Resort. It was exactly what I expected. Nothing fancy; just a fantastic location and amazing diving. Yes, it is removed from the activity of West End. But that is exactly what I wanted. If you need the Ritz Carlton, then Reef House probably is not for you. But if you want...

It is a diver's dream (30 years PADI certified). Took my kids in February. Came back with my daughter in May. Just the place for a laid back family vacation. The location is privileged. You sleep a hundred yards away from the world's second largest barrier reef. Rooms are super clean, good beds. The grounds are kept bug free. The...

Normally our expat group gathers at BJ's but due to BJ being ill we went to the Reef House. The Banditos, an expat band, set up and played there. The Reef House resort is known for it's diving and it's unique location. I did not stay there nor did I dive there (friends did though and said it was amazing)....

I have been to roatan many times before, but always in the west end. This rip my wife found the Reef House. The diving is great, unlimited diving including three boat dives a day and as many shore dives as you can do. The rooms are basic but we have our own bathroom with shower, Internet, flat screen tv, the...

Reef House is great for divers and vacationers not looking for a "spa-like" atmosphere. We were completely safe at the resort and everyone was very accommodating. I didn't mind that the rooms weren't fancy - I really didn't need to spread sand and saltwater around a place that I was just crashing in at the end of the night. Sure,...

Davey and his family are extremely welcoming and accommodating. We did not stay overnight, but they had many happy in-house guests when we visited. Initially, we just wanted to go scuba diving with their crew but we ended up getting our advanced certifications there as well. The diving experience was amazing! We had lunch (best home-made pizza and summer salad),...
