What a great place to go! Very Remote resort, away from all the Tourist spots, close enough to get to though. We encountered some travel issues, however the staff at Palmetto Bay Plantation were great, very informative and knowledgable of the Island. The food and drinks were excellent at the restaurant! We had a beautiful clean home to stay in,...

Just returned from PBP, spending 8 days. The place is very close to perfect, BUT and IF... IF...the weather co-operates, this place is idyllic. Geourgeous, fantastic people, friendly staff, nice guests (this is an issue b/c you will end up spending a lot of time with them). On-site owner is a very nice guy with a lovely 3 y/o daughter,...

My husband and I paid for a week at Palmetto recently when we could have stayed in our high-end condo at no charge. We had visited Palmetto several years ago, after investing elsewhere on up-and-coming Roatan, and we returned to Palmetto in January 2008 because we remembered the place as special. Nothing disappointed. We like the very idea of Palmetto....

I have just recently returned from a 1 week vacation in Roatan. Having been to Roatan once before and stayed in West End, this time I chose Palmetto Bay Plantation as my destination due to its charm, pristine beach, and all the lushness and tranquility of nature that you do not find in the tourist-filled West End and West Bay....

We stayed at this wonderful resort for just one week and found it to be one of the greatest experiences ever. Having been to several Caribbean islands, I would say it rivals Palm Island for splendid seclusion, but much easier to get to. Like PI, the accomodations are free standing Balinese style villas that provide simple luxury and quiet. We...

My apologies for the tardiness of this review, but I was online booking this years dive trip and just discovered Trip Advisor. Out of curiosity I went to see if other people had the same terrible experience as we did on our vacation last spring. In general I will sum up what was the worst vacation we’ve ever had and...

My wife and I spent 2 days at Palmetto Bay and loved it. We had a house right on the beach and enjoyed the private beach, diving and tranquility. The accomodations are great, especially for couples and families. We also really enjoyed the food from the restaurant. We did get a few sand fly bites but it was not significant...

As previous contributors have said Palmetto Bay is Shangri La ... well almost. There are too many 'buts' to give the resort unqualified approval. The beach is great but ... the sandflies are omnipresent and do bite. The staff's warning never to leave our villa without insect repellent was serious but it had limited impact because we were both frequently...

We had such a relaxing trip in a beautiful ecofriendly resort. All of our needs were met, with a smile and ease. We took the Palmetto's free sea kayaks out three times to a wonderful reef. We also took a boat trip to the Sunken Ship reef, well worth it! We really think the Palmetto sets themselves apart from other...

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to the island of Roatan, Honduras--highly recommend going there! We stayed at the Palmetto Bay Plantation. This is our fourth stay there and our fifth trip to the island. We have always experienced good service, good food, friendly staff, and lots to do. There is beautiful pool (clean) in the front of...
