We stayed at Media Luna as part of a 2 week “Duo” – one week here and the second week at Henry Morgan Resort, in West Bay (reviewed separately). We were greeted at the airport by Canadian ex-pat volunteers and by Transat representatives. Transportation to the resort was in small mini-vans; a bit cramped and the air conditioning was not...

This resort suits our family perfectly. Not a party place and a bit remote. Other parts of Roatan and other resorts can get taken over by Cruise visitors 4 or 5 days of the week, but not Media Luna. Simple but very good food. Always lots of salad choices, fresh fruit, chicken, fish etc. And an omelette station in the...

We had a great room, very large and very clean. Resort is very nice, it is well maintained, quite lush in terms of vegetation. The staff is WONDERFUL, they are all very hard working, friendly, helpful and dedicated. The beach although not large is nice, you can snorkel right from the beach and the dive shop, or can dive from...

My kids and I stayed at Media Luna during March Break 2017 and everyone just loved it. The accommodations were incredible--cute, individual huts not stacks of hotel rooms. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite and the dive instructors were just lovely with the kids. It's also extremely clean and the food was good--not Cordon Bleu quality--but everyone found lots...

Many things remained the same but there were some changes as well since our vacation there in 2012. Lots of travelers have reviewed the resort as to food, rooms and grounds and we are the type to be satisfied regardless so I will give some details on the diving. The biggest change is there are less Italians going here and a...

This is one of those smaller, cozier places. In fact there are only 108 rooms (cabanas). These are very nice and spacious including a big outdoor balcony with seating and a hammock. There is a tv, mini fridge, nice size bathroom with good water pressure, plenty of closet space, AC and an in-room safety box. Now around these cabanas are...

This was our second time staying at Media Luna, and this time my brother and his girlfriend came too. We stayed in cabana 149, which has a sunset view over the ocean (148 would also be great). We found it well worth the upgrade to get the oceanfront cabana to sit on the deck with a cerveza and watch the...

The Cabanas were the best part! 3 couples visited this resort, we wanted to try something different, as we usually go to larger 4-5* resorts multiple times a year. The restaurant is not air conditioned so we were very uncomfortable, one of the pools kept getting bubbles of sludge slime in it...I could go on however I will never go...

From the moment the van pulls up to reception you have no choice but to be relaxed! The views are awesome-beauty and uniqueness. Staff are very pleasant. Rooms are very comfortable although it takes getting use to showering in front of a frosted window! All rooms are cabanas so you're not sharing any walls at all. All cabanas have large...

Being faithful Cuba vacationers, but needing to find a warmer climate for our winter vacation, we took a chance on this island and resort and were not disappointed. The temperatures were in the 90's every day, and even though it rained almost every day, the rain was a welcome break from the sun (and it never rained for very long...
