My fiancée and I stayed at the Half Moon for three nights after staying five nights at the Mayan Princess resort in West Bay. Honestly, while the resort was nice with all of its amenities and access to the beach, we enjoyed our time more at Half Moon. It's a simple place, but offers a great value for the area....

Dec 15-21, 2014 we once again visited this lovely gem on Roatan. Rene and Matilda who run Halfmoon, made us feel like family coming home and gave us a free welcome back drink. The Monkey LaLa here is really good! We had just spent a week at IFBR and it was a breath of fresh air to be back at...

Half Moon Resort was a great value and offered us a great location close to the local dive shops with a beatiful view of Half Moon Bay. This resort does not have a beach area, per se, but it does have a small area next to the ocean with lounge chairs set up to catch a good tan. Perhaps the...

Bungalows are well located at the quieter end of half moon bay and walking distance from West End. Good snorkelling directly in front of hotel. However, bungalows, and especially the bathrooms, are shabby and have not been refurbished for many years. Owners appear to be milking the business and more interested in the noisy day trippers from the cruise ships....

I stayed in cabin 2 next to the bay with my teenager son. He liked the hammock right outside our door. His only complaint was the wifi speed was not to his standards. Why is he on his phone anyway when there are green sea turtles a few hundred feet away. There is a boat with a swinging rope in...

We stayed here for 5 nights--family of 3. We had a cabin with 2 queen beds, bathroom/shower with hot water, and the room had air conditioning and screened/shuttered windows. We asked for a refrigerator and they provided one. We had clean towels and bar soap provided each day and the beds made/floor swept. We felt very safe here and it...

I stayed here for three days in mid-March and really enjoyed it! The views everyday were wonderful and it was so fun to have snorkeling gear readily available for no charge! The staff was all helpful and friendly. The room was fine, no frills but for the price it was perfect. The staff helped us find transportation to and from...

Half Moon Resort, fomerly Half Moon Bay Cabins, is a well kept secret for people who love great seafood. The hotel is nestled in the very corner of West End's half moon bay. Of course, you can stay, dive, swim and snorkel but I have to emphasize the magic that they perform in their kitchen. I recently had "Pescado al...

Another year at Half Moon Bay Resort..excellent! If you want inexpensive clean quiet accommodations, in a great location, and best of all the staff is very hospitable! The cabins are nice but we like the rooms in the back because of the privacy. Sunsets are great here. The location is excellent! Look no further.. This is where you want to...

We didn't stay but we're allowed to use facilities as a part of private snorkeling tour. The snorkeling right off the resort is good and the chairs can be placed in sun or shade. No beach but that is Roatan- you are there for the reef and relaxation.
