Staff were very nice and the place was clean. The hotel has a great and central location. There is no heat but several older blankets were provided. The run down condition, peeling paint, cold showers and noisy street are reasons I would not return.

We have travelled to this hotel quite a bit in the past and it has not changed at all in over 20 years. That includes everything... Furniture, bedding, etc. That really didnt matter to me since location is prime UNTIL i went to wash my hands and found two little bars of soap in there BOTH with hairs on them....

Everything would be okay with the hotel. Except this one little thing. Our room was crawling with cockroaches. I couldnt have been more happy with our early check out. I went into the bathroom at night and I encountered maybe 20 cockroaches all shapes and sizes. The place should really look into it

Being a seasoned traveler to developing countries, I can tolerate A LOT. This place, despite its potential, is not where you want to be if you actually need a place to sleep or escape the congestion of Xela in quiet. I tried two rooms. The first, with a window looking out onto the inner courtyard, smelled overwhelmingly of sewage. Black...

It is excellently located right on the city's main square with nearby a McDonalds, excellent bakery, Barista and &Cafe coffee shops and several restaurants. But even from the outside the building makes a somber impression that is only amplified when coming inside and checking in at the reception desk. While friendly enough, the lady spoke only Spanish and was not...

The Building is an interesting palace of the sixties, the rooms are very big, especially those with the balcony on the street. It poorly managed and too dark.It is strategically located in the city center of Xela.

This hotel has seen better days. It is well situated on the main plaza of the second largest city in Guatemala but needs to invest in better lighting and a redo of their rooms. The staff was friendly but the amenities in the room inferior. One cannot read in the lights provided. The beds were comfortable so sleeping was all...

Great location, a few feet away from the central park. Sleep quality was terrible... the bed's sheets were so old that they were close to transparent; I could hear the reception’s phone in my room as if I had it in my nightstand and every time it rang it woke me up; and I could hear the people walking in...

This hotel is located in a very nice historic building directly on the central park. They have enormous potential to create comfortable tourist services that highlight the historic and cultural value of this location, but it seems they've allowed the building and rooms to deteriorate, offering a mediocre experience at best. The rooms off of the central garden and restaurant,...

I stayed here for a week and found the room I had to be comfortable and the staff to be helpful. Most of the rooms are interior rooms. That means that the only "windows" they have are interior windows into the lobby area. Despite this, there was quite a bit of noise from the clubs nearby on Wed - Sat...
