We've stayed five nights at casa renaissance, and a more than pleasant stay it was! Al the plusses: - the rooms are huge (two doubles and a desk in our room and still tons of space) and beds comfortable. - the showers are hot! And two showers and two toilets are plenty for thd three rooms that have to share...

Because the lady that runs this place clearly puts her heart into this project and to Xela. She was lovely and most helpful with her advise. The rooms are massive but chilly because of the climate and the stone floors....bedding had seen better days so didn't make you want to snuggle into it. Our room which was by reception needs...

Good location, huge rooms, well furnished kitchen and lovely staff. The whole hostel is very lovely furnished with accessoires from Guatemala. The owner offers and organizes tours very well. 2 really cool cats are living there. They are really sweat and gentle. In the group room is a common useable laptop with Internet, a TV with DVD-player and some games....

One of the best hostels we found on our trip. Good location, huge spacious rooms, great kitchen, living room area with large collection of English movies. Clean. Hot showers. Only issue was a smell of sewage near the bathrooms, but I think that was a municipal problem that was being fixed. The owner was helpful but not overly friendly (maybe...

Me and my boyfriend spent almost 1 week at Casa Renaissance. He got sick and Casa Renaissance is just the perfect place to stay at when you are sick. The rooms are big, the beds are comfortable and we even had a DVD player with lots of DVDs in our room. Everywhere in the Casa you can see nice accessoires...

We really enjoyed our weekend in Quetzaltenango. The hotel is very well located -- about three blocks from the main square. The rooms are really big and there is a communal kitchen and other common areas, as well as several hammocks, all perfect for socializing. The bathroom was spotless. Only thing missing was parking space, but for a fee it...

This is such a wonderful place to stay in Quetzaltenango. The guesthouse is always very clean and you meet the best people. If you want peace and quiet in a central location of the historical region, this is it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Casa Renaissance is everything you could hope for in a hostel. It is a huge colonial era house in the very center of Xela. The house has a communal laptop, fast wifi, a tv with thousands of movies, multiple common areas and hammocks for socializing, clean drinking water, a kitchen with many appliances and two beautiful, friendly cats (Pus and...

We stayed here in Dec 2014 and had 3 great nights. Rooms were big with clean heavy blankets for the cold nights. Hot showers and full use of the kitchen is another bonus. The hostel is within easy walking distance of town and there is a bike rental place at the end of the street. Would highly recommend this place.

The guesthouse is situated in the centre of Xela. Everything you need (restaurants, banks, supermarket) is almost next door. The rooms are clean, spatious and comfortable. Also there are lots of common facilities! I could really recommend staying here.
