We stayed here and two nights and it was very enjoyable. The rooms are clean and spacious and very affordable. The owner is super lovely and accommodating. The hostel is also in a very convenient location.

This was one of the most unexpected stays in hostels. Carlos, the owner helps on every topic, he even bought us beers on the last day when we shared.our meal with him. At the moment he is building a sauna in his spacious yards. The old colonial buildings feature big inner yards that are both: comfortably quiet and a social...

I stayed 3 nights in El Colibri Hostal. The common areas are big, the kitchen is small but functional. The bathrooms and the dorms were clean. It can get really cold at night, but more than enough blankets are provided with each bed, and the beds are comfortable. The staff was really helpful and super nice. The owner, Carlos, is...

El Colibri and Zen Hostel (same owner, next to each other) are my homes in Xela. The owner, Carlos is amazing! Very helpful and kind... His attitude makes you feel very relax... Very close to the central park. It has a beatiful patio also, you can spend time there and relax... I would definitely recommend this place!

When we arrived the place was a tip from the Independence Day celebrations - it looked like the owner/guy running it had had a week of partying and no cleaning. The kitchen was disgusting as was the communal area. However the next day...

We stumbled on this hostel when we decided to extend our 2 day visit in Xela and we are so happy we did. The place had a great space to chill and catch the sun away from the busy streets of Zona 1. Once the sun is down and you want to enjoy the delightful selection of bars and restaurants....

Really enjoyed my stay at Casa El Colibri. It's a really nice and relaxed place that has a lot of space to recharge. Comfy bed and quiet for sleeping. Kitchen area is useful. New hammock is great. Good location, less than ten minute walk to parque central. Recommend if you need a place in Xela.

Really enjoyed staying here - there are a few backpackers/hostel runners making this place perfect for chilling and enjoying what Xela has to offer. They are very helpful and willing to give tips and advice. The hostal is clean, has a well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and great WiFi. Would definitely stay here if back in Xela - hope it...
