The Finca Tatin is a great place to go if you want to get away from it all. It is set deep within the heart of the jungle around the Rio Dulce, on the way to Livingston. The management and service is extremely helpful and friendly, very accommodating, and the jungle cabins themselves are really comfortable and quite unique. There...

We stayed 2 nights in Finca Tatin and the place wasnicely surprising. It's on the Rio Dulce, surrounded by the jungle. The bungalows are pretty and quite comfy. Be careful if you don't like bugs and spiders though, because you'll find one or two in your bedroom. The common area is equipped with plugs to recharge your devices and amacas...

I stayed here with my boyfriend at the end of July and the place is incredible! We stayed at the top of "La torre" in line with the jungle canopy. The setting is incredible right in the middle of the jungle. The hotel offers dinner at night. Everyone eats together which is lovely and the food there is delicious. You...

This hotel is in the middle of the jungle. This place is fantastic!. Rooms are quite good, and the service very friendly. The only thing I can say bad is haven't got wifi and you can't pay with credit cards or dollars, just cash with quetzal. The boat to Livingston cost 55q to go and go back to the hotel....

Now, I have to say it - this place is NOT for everyone. If you can't live without A/C, or in hot/humid climate - this is not for you. If you are not used to the rustic set up - this place is not for you. Finca Tatin is a fantastic property consisting of several water front houses and several...

Finca Tatin is one of the coolest places I've ever stayed but it is definitely not for everyone. It is a collection of huts sitting over the swamp and directly on the river. It is a marvel of engineering and I felt like Tarzan or Swiss Family Robinson. We had a private cabin on the river with private bath. There...

We had a great time at Finca Tatin. They offer a range of accommodations though the place definitely has a rustic/jungle vibe since the entire hotel sits on stilts a few feet above the water. Chris, who I'd describe as the "tour director" was fantastic. From the moment we arrived to the morning we left he was resourceful and friendly,...

There are several things that make this place so special. It's location is unlike any other hostel. Located 30-40min from Rio Dulce by boat, on the Tatin River. The staff here is amazing, super helpful and knowledgeable. This was my favorite place in Guatemala!

I was traveling for a month in Belize and Guatemala and this place was my favorite! Spent 4 nights here. It is half way between Rio Dulce and Livingston. The ferry turns off the main river to a smaller river leg. Finca Tatin is almost at the end of this leg of the river. You get dropped off on a...
